All of us are familiar with the story. Logistically, we know gathering two of each animal would be a close to impossible undertaking (space and time frame). Great thinkers alike representing those from different religions, scientific views, etc. say that humans possessed vast amounts of technology...and then we lost it and it has taken us thousands of years to start regaining it. The bible is a book of metaphors and I am not reducing its religious significance. Considering what has been laid before you...bark your answers!!!

History records that Akhenaton, an Egyptian pharaoh, developed
monotheism some 14,000 years before Moses took chisel to rock,so
why do contemporary theists give Moses any credit for an obviously
plagiarized idea?

Does their faith encourage them to convert others the way that Islam does? Do they need their beliefs validated? Looking for real answers, not the usual lunatic rantings.

Who would depict Moses in the remake???Heston did a hell of a job (no pun intended) and Brenner as the Pharaoh was no joke. How do you bounce back from something like that and make a better movie. I'd admit the special effects would be better now, but the actors are not as easily replaced.

An American on his world tour noticed a golden telephone in some holy places of different countries with a sign "$10,000 per call". He was explained that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God. The American thanked the people for the same.

The American arrived India to see if Indians had the same phone. He found the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read "One Rupee per call." The American was surprised so he asked the priest there about the sign. " I've traveled all over World and I've seen this same golden telephone in many holy places. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?".

The priest smiled and answered, "You're in India now, Son - it's a local call".

This is the real heaven on the Earth.

If the content of the Bible was passed on orally long before ever being recorded in text, and then edited repeatedly, then translated repeatedly, over the time it has been in circulation around the world, how can it be trusted to provide the inspiration that many religious denominations claim came from God?

I welcome anyone who believes in the Bible, whether you have read it or not, and regardless of your religion, to offer your opinions on my question.

Picture this. You live in a 200 sq. foot straw and mud hut with ten of your immediate relations. Every day you spend 2 to 3 hours trodding barefoot over land mine-riddled terrain to fetch a few litres of "cleanish" water. Your husband, to whom you were given immediately after your first menstruation, has been dragged of and forced to fight for a side to whom he has no allegiance in a war whose single and inevitable outcome is the compounding of the misery and terror which is your life. Your father is missing a leg. His father is a torso. Your child's belly dwarfs that of your pregnant self. Cholera and dysentery are your best pals - they're always there fo you.

I had left the catholic church to join a good christian church. I was baptized by the catholic church a long time ago. However, the new christian church tell me I need to be baptized again in order to be accepted in Christ. Why? I thought I was saved a long time ago but need to be saved again. My faith in the Lord is very strong so I am a bit confused about being baptized again. Can you help?

Russia is onec again trying to become of military power by designing weapons they say nobody will be able to match. Iran will have a nuclear bomb withing a few years. The mark 666 of the beast is already out in the EU Paralment with a vacant seat next to the number which will be filled by the antichrist soon enough.Global warming is getting worse, the Antartic is almost gone(melted away

OK you have prolly seen similar posts. but honestly how can u not believe in god. go outside look at the sunset, witness a child being born, i mean the world is too complex and amazing to have come about any other way. How else did we get here, some being or GOD has to be before us , it had to start somewhere. I mean im not putting anyone down but its just sad that today more and more ppl just deny gods existence. and science is lame, boring, and cannot explain the mysteries and awesomeness of god. I just wish more ppl would give him a chance and see if your life changes at all. I mean god did give us the gift of life on earth and eternal life through jesus the least you can do is ask him to show himself to you somehow and i believe he will somehow. god speaks through ppl alot just listen to your heart

when I was considerably younger and had less control of my fleshy obelisk...I would frequently get engorged during church for no apparent reason. I did not contribute to this engorgement by thinking of anything sexual. was I sinning?

Last night I said that Muslims preach peace, and people said it's useless, because action speaks louder than words, even though real muslims preach peace, people would believe the "muslims" that commited the acts of Terrorism.

You want to play double standards? Fine.

Hitler killed 6,000,0000 Jews, now what sort of messege does that mean? He was a Christian.

"Oh he wasn't a real Christian, he practiced magic"

What makes you think the muslim terrorists are real muslims? They had been reported taking lap dances from strippers.

Never judge a religion by it's followers, judge a religion by it's teachings.

I've studied Christianity and learn of it from Christians, and there's no such thing as "Go kill 6 million Jews" in the Bible. I myself, a Muslim, have studied the Qu'ran and Hadith and there's no such thing as "Go kill innocent" people in the Qu'ran.
