Not really. We don't really need to do that. I quote the whole surah of Al-Kafeeroon.

Say: O unbelievers!

I do not serve that which you serve,

Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve:

Nor am I going to serve that which you serve,

Nor are you going to serve Him Whom I serve:

You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion.

Your husband probably meant that it would be more comfortable and less awkward if you were a Muslim too, but it's up to you. It's really okay if you don't feel like it.

First, you will want to read up on Islam and learn more about the religion to make sure it is right for you. There are many good websites out there for this. If there are any masjids in your area, give them a call and ask if you can come visit and attend a service. This will also give you the chance to talk with the Inmam, who will be able to tell you about what is required to convert. If you can hook up with some Muslim converts, that would also be a good idea so you will have more understanding of what is involved and some support through your transition. Converting to Islam is not a complicated matter; the first step is the declaration (in Arabic) that states "There is no god but Allah and Mohamed (PBUH) is his prophet". Most important will be to start living as a Muslim. Good luck with your conversion. You might also want to ask this question under "Holidays"---"Ramadan" as there are many Muslims who can probably give you a lot more insight than I can!

SUppose you are walking along the Hill side. Suddenly you notice a blind man ahead of you is walking towards a deep point. If he falls he will get broken into pieces. What will you do? You will run to stop him, then ask him where he wants to go and put him in the right path. This is what is expected from a good muslim. First of all he should know the way in which he is going without any ambiguity. Islam means Peace attained through total submission of your will to the Almighty God. If you analyse today's life on this earth, we can prove that this is the only way to live peacefully. Many times we observe that a poor man sleeps peacefully every day for 8 hours whereas another rich man with all facilities by his side needs sleeping pills or a bottle of alcoholic drink to sleep even for few hours.
Man needs to be controlled at all moments of his life. That control is best if it comes from his ownself control. FOr this religion is important. No police, no law, nothing else can control man better than his own self.

That's ridiculous...he can't make that assumption since every person is different and that is why there are so many religions in the world. There is no way to know if one religion can make someone "feel better..." if that were possible everyone would have the same religion. If you feel that Christianity is a better choice for you than Islam, then your husband should respect your decision. No one should be forced into a specific religion.

even if you read the koran it will state that All people are one nation, your personal religion has nothing to do with what is truth. You can be a christian a muslim or a jew. That does not matter. Muslims think they know the truth but they do not, Christians think they know the truth but they do not, Jews think they know the truth but they do not. In the bible it states they tell you many lies, In the koran it states the same, Do NOT mix false hood with truth. If you really want to understand you must understand anothers personal religion. And you will find much common ground in the bible and the koran. They both state basically the same Idea. they both think they are right. but niether is totally right. If you want to convert truely convert consider both books, and contemplate deeply upon the words written within. You will find them both with a few exceptions stating the same thing. and remember when you read the bible It was NOT written by the disiples, but by obsevers, and when you read the Koran It was not written by mohammmed But by observers. you do not know where the bible is
nor do you know what the Koran is
you only believe what most preachers tell you so they can take your money. Be aware of the Wolfs In sheeps clothing.

It's nobodies duty to convert anybody. All religions contradict each other no matter what people say. You can't dispute that fact. Believe in what you want and what you find reasonable. I don't see how following a certain religion will make you "feel better." It will make him feel better I'm sure.

No. It's not an obligatory duty to try to convert people of other faith to Islam. Islam recommends to invite other people to Islam, not force or try to convert.

The real religion is a relationship with the creator, now he has made a way for you to receive his Holy spirit and that is what makes you feel better, Gods holy spirit coming into you and it is life and life more abundant, every other religion is rules and regulations, but Christianity is Grace and mercy and you get Gods holy spirit, and that's what does the supernatural in your life. read john 3 and acts 2, and then ask in Jesus name for it, that is the key, it comes only in Jesus name! The Muslim does not receive this living spirit! Nor do any other religion. It is what we call being born again, the old man passes away and a new life in christ appears.

I've never heard of an all out plan by Muslims to convert anyone to their religion, at least not like Christianity.
