Doesn’t it seem like the most spiritual people are also often the most patient?

Why do you think that is?

Mark 3:21, et seq.
When his family heard about this [i.e. that Jesus was preaching to a crowd] they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."...Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside they sent someone to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you."

If an Angel of the Lord had come to Mary before Jesus' birth and told her that she would conceive the Son of God, why then did she at first think Jesus had gone insane when he started preaching, and go running to fetch him?

If Mary had known Jesus was the Son of God all along as the gospels claim she did, why would she have been surprised at all?

And even if she were mildly surprised by Jesus' actions, she CERTAINLY wouldn't have thought he was insane and gone running to stop him, would she?

Does this sound like a woman who knew her son was God incarnate to you? Christians, how do you explain this?

I have noticed that Muslim & Jewish people have more respect for other religions. Also Muslims & Jews may not agree on religon but thier values are the same: Jewish people would die for thier religon, so would Muslims, Jewish people would not allow anyone to disrespect thier religion , the same with Muslims. Jewish people are amongst the wealthiest people in the world, so are the muslims. Jewish people have strong religious beliefs & donot change thier holy scriptures, the same goes for muslims. Jewish people have one book the torah & muslims have one book the quran.

What I am saying is that Judiasm & Islam are the only two relgions that seem to be unchanged & strong while christianity has become a relgion of man - there is so many bibles i have lost count. Christians seem to be weak never really standing for what they believe, Christianity is advertised like its the latest trend.

Muslims & jews - do you think that these are the two religions that wil be the last 2 standing.

A father will lie, steal and die to preserve the life of his son. Would you let someone torture your father if there was any chance you could prevent it?

I'm pretty sure it was a Mayan belief but I could be wrong. I heard it on a Discovery Channel show and ever since that date has stuck in my head.

The question is about prominent gender bias in the religion. Is GOD a male? Why is He called the Holy Father?

I'm 20, and Catholic. I notice Sunday Mass is full of families. However there is a missing age group. Ages 17-27 seem to stop going to church!! This sucks! Because I'm single, and the only girls I tend to go for share the same faith as me... I just think its sexy? Do any guys/girls have this same problem??

From what I see around here, it goes something like this:

Monday - Atheist bashing day,
Tuesday - Muslim bashing day,
Wednesday - Christian bashing day,
Thursday - Judaism bashing day,
Friday - Wiccan bashing day,
Saturday - Pagan bashing day,
Sunday - Christian AND Atheist bashing day.

More or less, somehow I see there's this strange pattern of bashing o_O...

As a Christian, do you feel that there is a difference in you now with regard to sin? For example, before you were a Christian, did you feel that you were enslaved to sin, but now it has no hold over you? Has it made a practical difference in your life? For example, do you no longer feel attracted or tempted by sin anymore? If you do still feel temptation, then do you always conquer it? What is the difference in your life now versus when you were not a Christian?

Just looking for some 1st-hand experiences that may shed light on the subject. Thanks!

There is always some comments that keep arising: "science hasn't proven that we come from monkeys" "if we came from monkeys, why are there monkeys" "scientists are now fumbling to keep their theory/guess of evolution from imploding" "more and more scientists are now accepting the theory of intelligent design while rejecting evolution" "Darwin recanted his theory on his death bed and became a Christian" and "there are no fossils showing transitions." How all these memes of false claims spread is so facinating. Do you agree?

Why does he think people are gonna fall for his delusional rhetoric again this time? We saw the nature of this beast 4 years ago at the U.N., with his so-called, "justification-for-an-Iraq-war" speech. Something is seriously malfunctioning in his brain.

And If this were the case, that "Iran is the 'source' of terrorism", then shouldn't he have saved himself a headache by skipping Iraq, and going straight for Iran? The Iraq war is just a vain, and pointless waste of time... money... and lives.
