I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast them, one each day, because I am hoping to get as many different people to answer these questions as possible. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE BACK YOUR ANSWERS UP WITH REFERENCES TO SCRIPTURE, THOELOGICAL QUOTES, ETC. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it more as an interview.

I heard about a group of "concerned citizens" in North Carolina that once campaigned for schools in their state to have Germany and Africa removed from maps, globes, and atlases in their children's classrooms because they deemed these places to be 'anti-Christian', and for the letters of the Greek alphabet to be taken out of algebra class because they believed the symbols promoted homosexuality.
From what little I know about this event that may or may not have happened, it was either in the 1980's or the early 1990's.
If this is true, what is the name of the group in question?

It seems that if something, anything isnt in the bible, a book written by humans, that it's not true. That if something contradicts the stories in the book, they must not be true. Even though the authors had less knowledge of the world than we do today.

Is it not important to understand the world? Or does god was his followers to be dumb and lazy so they won't figure him out. Doesn't say much about god then, if he is scared that his creations would get too smart.

In what sense is it true to say there is 'nothing new under the sun' ?

Given that mobile phones were not around in the time of ancient Egyptians, and TV's were not known in ancient Babylon, how can the above be true ?

I assume (I even believe) the statement IS true. But in what sense is it so ?

Any suggestions appreciated.

No way I'm 96.8% or whatever related to monkeys. According to "scientists," I'm 90% lab rat. They'll believe anything. God said humans were separate from animals, and I'm inclined to believe God. Duh?

1. the President of the United States fights with bombs to defend the nation.
2. the misguided terrorist think their defending Islam, yet they fight with bombs.
3. innocent lives of men women and children, of both cultures, and every religion are being destroyed in Iraq.
4. Mr Bush wants more innocent lives too go and be destroyed.
so in comparasion. America charges Muslims and Arabs with the same thing Their own leader is doing how is this overlooked. is it because he's the Pres. & can get away with it. yeah i think so. Religion should be a choice and not forced. this is why Allah gave the ppl a free will. so why do americans sterotype us when the leader the one who rep. america is guilty of the same. doesn't it bother any of you. that he's not taking, but ORDERING your brothers and sisters to fight his battles? what kind of leader would do this. it seems to me that we're not alone in this. yet we're the terrorist. he's guilty of the same. bombs fix evrythg 4 him. -
