Christians do believe in science.

I think we need to remember that only *some* atheists assume that Christians don't believe in science. There are many Christians that are scientists, and lo and behold, they manage to work side by side with non-Christian scientists everyday, and vice versa. I think some people put to much stock in the fact that science and faith are so separated. They really aren't. Much of science are hypotheses and theories that are regularly accepted until they can be disproved. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Both science and faith require confidence and courage in the face of the unknown. I think the problem is some people (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc.) have intolerance for people with the opposite point of view and different beliefs.

Not all Atheists believe Christians are against science. But the reality is, science proves alot of what the Bible says to be wrong. So it is pretty difficult to believe in both at the same time.
PS: Intelligent Design is NOT and never will be a science.

But Christians ignore most discoveries made in science, like Evolution for example. Since it's not in the bible, they don't believe it. Which speaks volumes about the intelligence of christians since science is just the search for truth.

Why do grownups hate Santa Claus? human beings do no longer generally hate issues they think of are imaginary. some atheists get indignant at faith because of the fact religions harm tens of millions of human beings. now and returned believers push aside their anger as "hating God". yet that is in basic terms a theory-struggling with evasion. Objecting to a faith's doctrines or its risky consequences and strikes interior the real worldwide isn't corresponding to hating a nonexistent being it worships.

Why do you think all atheists assume this?

I've no doubt Christians believe in science...if you're speaking on theories of evolution vs. creation...not all of us believe in evolution either.

That fakey "Christian Science"?

I know some do believe in science, and some even fit evolution into their beliefs...it's those that don't believe in it that we assume...naturally...

The funny thing is, a lot of scientists are Christian.

It is not that you do not follow it, it is that you try to mix it with religion. Religion and Science are similar to oil.. They do not mix. You have to muck up Science to make religion work.
