can some one please explain to me in brief what this message means? Thanks and God Bless........................................................

The Cost of Being a Disciple ...........................
25Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
28"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? 29For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, 30saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'

Would you be more receptive? If you told you what we should, about eternal salvation, and life in paradise in the glory of god.

It's like if you don't agree with the Quaran or the Bible, or if you are not a Muslim or a Christian then you are an Atheist or whatever. Well, you don't have to be an Athetist to not believe in religion if you believe in God.

People, believe it or not, people can and DO believe in God without a religion!

AND

If someone doesn't believe in religion than they obviously they do not have faith in the accuracy of the books of that particular religion either.

Just because I don't agree with the accuracy of the bible and such doesn't make contradict myself. It means I don't believe in the "truth" and the "word" of the bible not God.

God, I believe in. I think God exists.. Religions are manmade.

For example, would Bill Gates get into heaven just because he's done such great things via philanthropy? Einstein? Da Vinci?

Feel free to answer from the perspective of a God-believer or not.

"1 Tim. 2:9-14 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

It is my opinion that he deserves to be in prison. He actually got off light. If he actually did everything legally, he would have been okay.

I in no way support immoral practices in the Church of Christ as Hovind did. Yet he will be in my prayers.

Note: This is coming from a Christian.

and convert you?

I do!

For my last couple of questions, I've gotten a lot of long answers containing bible information. The thing is I didn't even read it. I just skimmed through it really quickly to see if their is any logic or personal opinion about the issue I asked to be discussed.

Now, if I don't believe in religions why would passages from the bible suddenly change my mind?

I do believe in God but not religions and this is a personal choice.
