You mean physical characteristics? Jews are both a religion and a race. Not all racial Jews practice the Jewish faith, and many people who are not of Jewish descent do practice Judaism. That's like asking why Buddhists in Thailand resemble each other.

Jewish is not a religion, though some people do refer to Judaism as a form of religion practiced by orthodox Jews.

The true Jews or Jewish people of Jesus' time were an ethnic nationality of people indigeneous to Africa who practiced what was then known as Mosaic law (or the commandments/traditions of Moses) in places (or churches if you insist) called synagogues.

There were, however, many "Jews" who participated in other religious practices, both "christian" (after Christ's ascension, of course) and pagan or heathen.

There is a Jewish Nationality and a Jewish religion. It is possible to be Jewish by birth and not be a practicing religious Jew. It is also possible to not be Jewish by birth and convert to the Jewish religion becoming a practicing Jew.

judaism is a faith and Israel (or is it the Hebrews.? anywho..)is the nation that judaism came out of. Not all Israeli's are jews and not all jews are Israeli's, but just like most muslims are middle easter people and resemble each other, so jews will have certain traits they all share.

It is both a Religion and an Ethnic group. That is why they resemble each other. One can be an ethnic Jew and not practice the religion.

Well, that's not entirely true, but some do beacause they lived in alot of the same areas maybe, so Jews would have similar features, but I don't think that's a true statement anyway, so nevermind my answer.

Hebrew is the race, Jewish is the religion. I, myself, am a half-Hebrew Christian. See how that works?
