If there is an afterlife...what will it be like for you?

2007-01-29 16:47:50 · 12 answers · asked by just_curious 1

First,
-Who Created me you and all that exists?
lets look at the options...
Nothing...we just appeared from dust, and we ill leave as dust...
A God created us, to simply play in the Earth and do as we please, and he ordained no law for us to follow
A God created us, and God is Perfect, therefore He would not create us in play... Hence He ordained a Law to be followed on the Earth-His Laws.
THaN..
Now the reading part comes in, i want everyone to give answers based on knowledge, none of the answers based on grudges or hatred, I believe we all have minds and hearts to weigh the issues, so lets make use of them...
First, a small book-

Second, a Video by a scientist-

Third- Numerous Testimonals

MOST IMPORTANTLY READ THE QURAN!www.islambasics.com/view.php?authID=17
Reflect, ponder, Why was I Created?

When I was 6 years old I remember making an "angel bell" -made out of a jelly jar, with some coins and string) that I could ring on whenever I was left at home alone or scared.. My dad was an alcoholic who left me home alone for hours - He was never there.. At that time, I didn't know about religion or what angels really were.. I just came up with the title "ANGEL BELL" on my jar I made. At any rate, I accidently cut my finger on a knife when I was trying to carve my name in a tree - I thought I was going to die.. LOL..

Anyways.. I made this jar after that incident happened.. Like I said, I didn't know what religion or God was.. But I made this "angel" bell that I could ring so than my guardian angel would know I was in need..

If children know about God and HIS angels.. How can people still not believe there is a God?

Seeing as how is just got sent to prison for 10 years.

Hovind was sentenced on January 19, 2007 to ten years in prison and ordered to pay the federal government restitution of $640,000. After his prison term finishes, he will have to serve another three years of probation. A tearful Hovind had hoped to avoid prison, telling the court, "If it's just money the IRS wants, there are thousands of people out there who will help pay the money they want so I can go back out there and preach."[2] Hovind continued, "I forgot to dot some i's and cross some t's." We all know about the Muslim extremists so I will move on to Christian extremists. It was only less than a century ago in which blacks were lynched and crucified by white americans who used christianity as the justification of their actions. I feel as if this type of mentality is partly responsible for our ignorance to equality and peace. Will there ever be a religious compromise?

(Sorry, I worded this wrong last time)
If someone dislikes only Christians who believe everyone else goes to hell and their way is the only way, but is fine with Christians who don't believe that, is that bigotry?

I feel it is less about religion, and more about the choice a person makes to actively believe they have the only spiritual answer. Again, the dislike is only directed toward those certain Christians, not all Christians.
What do you all think?

If you really believe candidates are religious, you should believe that they can't separate religion from their political life. The Pope has already given direction to politicians around the world. Does that mean if you are Protestant and pro-choice you can't vote for a Catholic candidate? Southern Baptists believe that women in marriage should obey their husbands. I can see that being written into a few laws.

If you hold religion to be important in your own life, how do you keep it out of your political life? If you can't, does this country go the way of Iraq with Sunni fighting Shiite or Northern Ireland with Protestants fighting Catholics?

It would seem that an atheist, not beholden to any religion, might be the best choice. You can at least be sure that he or she is not trying to ram some religious doctrine down anyone else's throat. And contrary to popular belief, there are some conservative atheists. And they have morality, too. All in all, not a bad choice.

Seems to me that God allows paranormal activity to bring us back to him, since science can't explain it. If God doesn't allow paranormal activity, then what causes it? Can it be explained in this realm?

How many of mans laws would you break to do Gods will?

Do not say God would not ask you to. Spreading Christianity through missionnaries in countries where it is illegal and punishable by death is being done right now.
