NO. You can be "spiritual."

You don't have to go to church to pray, believe, and know God.

I read the bible, I pray.. I've seen my own sign from God.

I don't go to church. I pray, I believe, I have faith, and I love and respect GOD. That itself is ENOUGH.

Read God's Word, and ask Him to show you the answer. Believe it or not, all of the answers are in there. The more you read and pray, God will show you what you should do, and where you should go. People can give you their opinion all day, but it will most likely change tomorrow. If you are given Gods word, it never changes. So, if you are not ready to be under the covering of a Pastor, then make sure you are under the covering of God's Word. He will never leave you or forsake you.

If you do decide you are lonely, and you want real people to talk to, and see the CHARACTER of their life, then ask God to point you to a Church Family that will hold true to God's Word, and teach you without opinion.

Faith is an action word...Have you exercised yours lately?

Out of respect, pls spell God with a capital G. The way I see it, accepting Jesus as your personal savior and living a Christian life is a win win situation. If the Bible is true (and I believe it is), then one will have eternal life and one would have done some good while on earth. No, Christians are not perfect and the Bible told us this already. If one rejects Jesus and the Bible is true, then one will be in for a hell of a time (not really funny, who wants to burn in hell forever?). You can live your own life (within reason) and still be a Christian. If you want to be a vegetarian and / or avoid pork, you can do it. If you want to use birth control , you can do it too. If you want to go on vacation, go ahead. You can believe in Jesus and have a happy life too. Ideas like don't murder, don't steal, don't have an affair with your neighbor's wife (or he'll kill you) are all reasonable rules of behavior.

Hey Buddy !
When you say "decide on a religion" or "go to church" - you are binding GOD to the boundary of *your GOD* *our GOD*. Honestly, I do not intend to be a preacher here...

Believe in the power within youself to be a reflection of the Universal power. The Unversal power we call GOD.

If we take religion to equal belief then - let your *consious* be your religion and ..

If we take church to equal evidence then - let your *wisdom* be your church.

Hope this is food for thoughts !

I dont think so, what counts is that u spend time with God and his word, and sometimes i think we made neeed clarification on some things in the Bible so then it is wise 2 go 2 church or make contact with another christian that is well educated on God's word. And make sure u have somewhere 2 send ya tithes 2 even if u have 2 send them through a friend or a television broadcast.

I can`t measure up your belief in God whether light or deepest degree.
If you`re in light portion, you are easily misled by other people`s, religion, principle of belief, and very dangerous to stay alone unless you have a strong believer support friend who can supply or complete your belief and faith in God.
While joining religion/support group might help you develop strength, have group acceptance, and together may explore the realm of God`s spiritual power done on His people.
Though, sometimes, group or religion, may also misled you with their bad witnessing or bad group/religious identifications.
So, how about just expose yourself to a group or religion if they are good (like Christian believer of God) and learn many things, but be discerning in everything you see whether "good or bad" or "right or wrong" doings. Ask God`s Holy Spirit to guide you.
If you have deep faith in God, know it all kind of man (know everything about God), then you just kind of reflect, meditate, pray inside your house without going to church and with no religion (if you are disgusted with all kinds of group/religion). You talk to God in a direct way, and He`s just there listening and talking to you.

I'm not saying you shouldn't go to church but if you do, learn to differentiate between the True Gospel & the half-truths. Whatever it is, pray to God to give you the discernment to see the truth. Always walk with God not with the laws of the church.

No It does not. It simply means, like albert einstien did, or so i heard, that he believed in a higher power, than that of our own. If our minds could be at 100%, we could be like a God but not be a God. A person who is a natural creator that makes something out of nothing, is a God. It is pretty simple minded in understanding what a God is.

NO. i don't go any longer, it was great, though. i miss my church.many religions , one God. one Spirit of God .one soul in each of us.The Spirit of God is what you need not people or walls, just believing is not enough the devil believes in God,he knows him personally ,for you to know him you simply ask with faith for the spirit of God to be with you and guide you, then ask of it and listen for the answer which will come from within you and then try your Best to do Gods will for you in this life. the spirit of God will lead you to heaven when you pass on from this world, if you don't have contact with the spirit then it CANT take you to heaven it wants to ,but it can't if your not linked to it.Have faith as a child has,and all will be well,Peace..

I asked myself the same question and realized that my God wanted me to find my own way so that I could see the real Him without the bias and advice from others on a topic that is based on belief rather than factual evidence and universal agreement.

Not at all. Alot churches are corrupt and focus on the wrong things anyway. As long as you have your own idea of what you feel is right and wrong and have spirituality, I don't think you have to go to a certain building on a certain day to please God. I'd like to think he's not that black & white.
