Is it a coincidence that the elderly, the terminally ill and young children (well.. most everyone) are more likely to be raised to be religious (at least in the USA)?
Most Americans say they are believers.

Well, not really a coincidence.. what they all have in common, especially the elderly and the sickly, is the realization that their time of departure is drawing near, and since they have no idea what to expect in the world beyond, they tend to defer to an higher Being, God. As for children, I think its because they have not yet been influenced by the many vices in the world today, hence thier perception about God has not yet been warped, so they can easily believe in the existence of a greater Being, and Creator, instead of the power of Evolution, and Science!!

No, it is not coincidence. All of them have one thing in common;
INSECURITY.
The elderly are afraid because they are nearing death and want to secure a place in heaven.
The terminally ill know that their time will be cut short, and they too want to make sure they are going to a good place.
Young children don't know any better, and they too are afraid. They don't know what death is, nor what comes after, so they will believe what they are told, to feel safe.

This is why: "Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way , and tell John what things you have seen and heard ; how that the blind see , the lame walk , the lepers are cleansed , the deaf hear , the dead are raised , to the poor the gospel is preached.And blessed is he , whosoever shall not be offended in me." Luke 7:22-23
John had sent his disciples to see if Jesus was truly the Messiah.This was Jesus reply to assure John that He was the Messiah.

greater numbers of the elderly and juvenile under duress and lacking fully formed brains don't support anything but signify a need of desperation and immaturity's susceptibilities

Don't forget the sick, the lame, the halt, the blind, the criminals and dredge of society.
OF WHOM I AM CHIEF.
Go ahead, instill an 'involuntary' cleansing. Make it "religion specific', so that all these undesirables ( as I am) are permanently removed from Earth.
Go ahead.....HITLER IS DEAD. MY GOD REIGNS!!
