I have friend whos husband is divorcing her. He says he still loves her and really wants to be with her but just can't. There have been problems from both of them. But do you think if they are both "Christians" and ask God to help them through this that they will be able to work things out?

Do you consider it descrimination if a Christian is allowed to skip required overtime on Sundays, or if they're not allowed to?

Which is worse? Treating them special, or treating them like everyone else.

Someone once said to me "I am convinced that noone can change" I just believe that if you have God in your life that he can change someone who is willing. Anyone else feel this way?

Please share any thoughts or reflections you have on this scripture passage. Indeed, there are many things that symbolize the "salt" and the "light" so I am looking different ideas.

Romans 6:8
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more: death hath no more dominion over him.

Romans 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.

but John 3:16 says "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son." So did Jesus come for Israel only or the world? Did Jesus come for the saved or the unsaved?

A muslim that answered a previous question of mine said that he came for Israel only...explain this to me....

evil = existence
good = non-existence

evil = beast
good = spirit

Is there a way for the beast and the spirit to live in 'harmony' with one another? What about the existent(physical universe) and the non-existent(spiritual universe)?

Is it just me that has noticed this? I was in a shop the other day and this girl was talking to her friend and was going on about how she couldnt find anything to wear one day and she was really upset about that and started crying, I Thought she was being pathetic as that problem is nothing compared to the problems other people face.

Why does it seem some people go through hard sh** throughout their lives and others have it so easy? This question is always at the back of my mind.

i have some unfortunate news. My gf is leaving port and i will not be able to hear from her for another 5 months. I remembered that astral projection is possible. I do have some books about it but i was wondering what additional steps i could take to actually leave my body. And is there anyway (if im successfull) to help her get out of the physical body stage? and yes i am aware of the dangers on the astral plane. thanks for input in advance. :)

how can this verse be justified:
First Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Corinthians Chapter 11:
4 Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head. 5 But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered, disgraceth her head: for it is all one as if she were shaven.

I have been reading about Islam and agree with most of its teachings. However, there are some things that i refuse to follow if I convert to Islam. I don't want to follow the dress code...I shouldnt have to cover my entire body to be respected. Long sleeves and hijab aren't for me. I want to wear shorts and tank tops in the summer!!!! LOL. I think forcing just the women to be covered is degrading and unfair. Can I still be a muslim if I don't follow this? Also, I don't agree that it is haraam to drink alcohol. I think a glass of wine every now and then is ok...especially since recent studies have shown that the moderate intake of alcohol is beneficial for your health. Can I still be a a muslim? I think my faith in Allah and my morals of being a generous and loving person are what is important...not how I dress or what I drink/eat. Please help.
