I have friend whos husband is divorcing her. He says he still loves her and really wants to be with her but just can't. There have been problems from both of them. But do you think if they are both "Christians" and ask God to help them through this that they will be able to work things out?

there has been emotional adultry on my friends side. Does this mean that they can't mend things? She has said that since she le tthe other man go that she now has felt like her relationship with God is back on the right track. She is committed to doing whatever she can to have a good healthy marriage with God in it.

Perhaps, I suppose it would strongly depend on how much either one of them are willing to bow their hearts unto Him. If they insist that their will be done, He will permit it to be so.

IF they are truly Christians then they will study and find that this is the only thing to do. GOD will not tolerate anything else. Prayer is very important and can be a part of the solution, James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. There are a number of writings on divorce in the BIBLE. They are:
Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Mark 10:4; 10-12 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

There seems to be no reason for any Christian couple to divorce except for adultery. This is very clear. IF he & she divorce that will eventually cause one or both to be sinful. This is not a good thing. Get them a Christian Counselor/preacher that is good with marriages. They deserve to be together and happily so in Christ Jesus. I hope that this helps. Please email me and let me know how it turns out. Have a good day.

Well, I will say that a marriage with God is stronger. Some people can work out their differences with help from counseling from their church. Others will never be able to work things out regardless. I would think that a Christian couple would be more than willing to meet each other halfway to try to stay together.

Husband and wife will always be drawn together only if they are both heading toward God. There is much more to the story than you are hearing. I do marriage counseling and I see miracles all of the time.

Do you believe anything is too hard for the creator of the universe?

Have faith!

I have personally seen countless marraiges mended by the power of prayer and intercession, including my own parents!

Maybe they should work out their own problems instead of waiting for some imaginary sky-pixie to fix it for them.

Yes-- IF they are TRUE CHRISTIANS.

Putting the word CHRISTIANS in to quotation marks indicates that they could just be faking.
