Is it just me that has noticed this? I was in a shop the other day and this girl was talking to her friend and was going on about how she couldnt find anything to wear one day and she was really upset about that and started crying, I Thought she was being pathetic as that problem is nothing compared to the problems other people face.

Why does it seem some people go through hard sh** throughout their lives and others have it so easy? This question is always at the back of my mind.

Years ago, my now 11 year old son had an asthma attack at age 7 weeks, and was hospitalized in the NICU for 4 days. This was a frightening time, no one really knew what was wrong with him and he very nearly died.

After he had been home a few days, his doctor referred him to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital for a sweat test. They were suspecting cystic fibrosis, which we all know is a terrible disease. I was devastated.

Before the appt. in Pittsburgh, I was with my friend at the pharmacy while she picked up a prescription to rid her kids and her home of lice. She knew that my son's health was threatened, yet she stood there bemoaning the fact that she would have to do the nit picking, and the house cleaning, and whatever else would need done for a lice infestation.

The pharmacist, knowing what I was going through with my baby, spoke up, and said, "I'm sure Amy wishes that her son had lice right now." He was right. I'd have taken lice over cystic fibrosis in a heartbeat. As things turned out, my son is fine, he simply has asthma.

I don't know why some people have it so hard and others so easy, but the worst of it is the insensitivity displayed by those who have it good to those who would give anything to have it just a little better. Not everyone chooses their circumstances, sometimes it's just handed out. The religious say it's to pay for past sins or to teach a lesson. I can't buy that for a second. What sin could my 7 week old son have committed to earn him a possible diagnosis of cystic fibrosis? And what lesson is to be learned, other than life just isn't fair? Those who would whine over the little things need to take a moment to realize that they could have it so much worse.

From what you are saying, it sounds you think your problems are bigger than the girl who hasn't the right thing to wear.

Yes at times life can seem hard, but I will tell you something that most people have not figured out that may make your life easier.

Everything you do involves choice, "do it get up this morning, Do i stay in bed"
that is the simplest example, but everthing you do has a choice attached. Make the choice that gives you the most options.
Think on every choice...what will happen if I do this?

Like should I borrow money to buy this..Yes means you will have to do without things for a while , as you pay back the money.
No means you save up the money on your own, and you can either buy the thing if you still want it, or use the money for something else. Get the idea of options??

When you take the option that does not cause limitations, your life is so much easier

Good Luck

Every person's definitions of "suffering" are different. All sentient beings want nothing more than to be happy and will bust heinie to be happy no matter what it takes, usually by shunning anything they've got an aversion to or clinging and being attached to things we THINK are going to make us happy.

No two people are alike, no two sets of circumstances or causes and conditions in a person's life are alike and no 2 people have exactly the same karma.

Karma is what gets us the life we have now, and how we react depends on how badly we suffer or not. Cultivating a calm mind about these facts and subduing incorrect views about what "pleasure" really is is one way of working towards finding peace with issues like this... to include the irritation you might feel that this woman, who cried about her faulty wardrobe, is ignorant.

Genetics determine how you look. Traits that others find attractive or that are useful for survival get passed down, but you could have a bunch of traits that are considered attractive more often than not but aren't seen as attractive in combination with your other traits. Traits that are considered attractive to everyone - or indicate proper health - are present in everyone, such as having head hair. When you talk about what happens to "pretty" people vs what happens to "ugly" people, you are discussing the implications, not the reasons as to why either condition is what it is. Keep in mind beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The ones who have it "real easy" have their reward on this earth in this life time. They should be laying up their treasures in heaven. Read the Book of Ecclesiastes. This Book was written especially for man.

Also read Obadiah, 15th & 16th Verses. It is only just one Chapter and it will only take about five minutes to read it.

I see that everyone is in a GOOD MOOD today. I just posted an answer 5 minutes ago and already got a thumbs down. Thanks all.

We are not meant to understand the why's and wherefors of God's master plan. All I know is that we all go through stuff at some point and what is important or harsh to one may be irrelevant and simply annoying to another. No two people react to the same situation in the same exact fashion. Who are we to tell anyone our load is heavier to bear than theirs?

Some people make terrible, rash decisions, and some are more cautious. My sister is smart, but has always made bad decisions. Now she is paying the price. I've always been more calculated, and I have it "easy" as you say.

no one really has it easy. it may look like it but yes some people do live life better than others. but first of all i no it's a saying you hear all the time but everything is possible with God. Everything! You have to have faith you have to beilve that God can do it for you. Some people don't ask or dont bielve in Him. If you have no God in your live then do you think your gonna have a normal life? God completes us. He makes us who we are. when we pray to Him we're talking to Him and asking Him to help us in our lives. and we can never demand it, it's always His will. weather he thinks/knows its best for us. some people dont beilve in God becasue they dont have a perfect live. well gee do you think we deserve eve 5% of the mercy God gives no! God is so merciful and gives us so many things we dont deserve and yet we still want more and more and are never really happy with what He does. He knows what he's doing. but some people dont get EVERYTHING that they want so they just hate God. thats not right. we need to love God becasue he has a great life stored for us in Heaven if we just live by His will.
