Without trying to insult anyone, it seems as though both sides on this issue are being brainwashed. Most religious conservatives I talk to are pro-life and for the death penalty while most liberals I talk to are pro-choice and against the death penalty.

Both of these positions can be seem to be hypocritical depending on which side you are on. So, why are there so few who say both must live or both must die for the benefit of society?

Does anyone here think outside the box on these two issues? If so, why do you think that most people seem limited to either one of the two positions?

I asked this question because it is a disagreement between my sister & I. She believes that Lilith was the first woman however, I believe Eve is the 1st woman. I have asked my sister to show me where in the bible Lilith is mentioned, she said she can not.

-It can't be because it affects you in any way because obviously if gay people can get get married your life stays THE EXACT SAME.
-It can't be becuase you believe in "the sanctity of marriage" because more than half of all marriages end in divorce
-And if your only justification is that you feel it is against God's will then the government shouldn't be voting on it because we have seperation of church and state

...So why all the bigotry? Can you tell me ONE thing in your life that would be changed for the worse if gays could marry?

I'll admit it, I watched the full length video on youtube. I'm not some kind of sick freak rejoicing in the death of this man. Whilst I think that it was wrong and inhumane to record the death on a mobile phone, I also believe that this is an important event in human history and that it is important to watch it so that you really know what happened. In the same way that the picture of the south vietnamese officer about to execute the prisoner in Saigon has become one of the defining images of the vietnam war, maybe this video will become the defining one of the Iraq war.

As long as they show the man the respect we all deserve as humans, I see nothing wrong with people requesting where to watch this video. Why do others immediately accuse people as sick?

And if you are forgiven for all your sins automatically whether you are able to confess them or not, then what's the point of listing all of them? Is it necessary? Is it one of those "It's the thought that counts" sort of things?

Was all scripture before Muhammed corrupt? Were they always corrupt? Why does the Qu'ran call these holy? When were they coruupted was this considered corrupt before Muhammed? Was it corrupted afer Muhammed? How did no other prophet of God not notice this corruption? How could Jews not notice when someone corrupted their scripture? Why didn't the Chrisitians notice the Jews scripture was corrupted and how come the Christinas have not noticed their scripture was corrupted? How does this make any sense to Muslims? Why can't they tell us this horrible time of all of these corruptions and why their prophet didnt notice and their scripture did not notice this horrible corruption did all of this happen after thousands of years of truth and not one believer noticed it?

I feel like I am praying just to get though the motions because I know I need to. I read my bible but I am not absorbing what I should. I have questions but not a good support system right now to turn to and ask my questions. I feel like God is calling me to be closer to him but I just keep putting him off. What is my problem? Does any one have suggestions for a good bible study, or something to get me out of this spiritual yuck?

Matthew28:19-20. It says in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. Does not say in the name of Jesus only. Very confused.
