would the best way to find out be to go to a mosque?

and if you lived in a town with a mosque, how comfortable would you feel in approaching that place with a view to seeing what muslims get up to and what things their preachers are preaching?

how welcome do you think you would be made... if you merely wanted to satisfy your curiosity, and had no desire to become involved in any way?

In all the years I have practiced Wicca, I have noticed many people are afraid of it. Is this simply because they are ignorant of what it's really about? And the same goes for other non-christian religions. Is the fear nothing more than ignorance?

I asked this a bit ago but I don't think I worded it right.

My 8 yr old wants to know why God would take us up to heaven when he knows it hurts the people who loved them? She doesn't understand the whole concept of earth. If God wants us with him why did he bother making an earth in the first place? Why not just make a world like heaven in the first place.

I hope that clarified it a bit.

She did just lose her grandpa less than a month ago. She is a sensitive and emotional girl who has daily tears and hundreds of questions, that I have been able to handle up to this point.( and she keeps harping on this one). She has seen the school therapist and I am thinking of having her talk to a priest that she knows.

thanks again

I'm an atheist. If god exist(which I know he doesn't) he is an atheist because he denys his own creation. He never said he made himself. so, is god a fool? Didn't he say atheists are fools? Than he's a fool because he's an atheist. God refuses to acknowledge that an intelligent designer designed him. That makes him an atheist and an atheist trader. He's going against people of his kind which means he's going against himself. Does god disaprove of himself?

I need you god believers to answer the question with logic. Dont ignore the question and drop a faith turd and run. ANSWER THE QUESTION and when you do, back it up with facts. I know your belief is not about thinking, but atleast try.

Prophecy. The Old Testament was written before Jesus was ever born. The New Testament was written by the men who knew Jesus, who walked with Him, ate with Him, and learned from Him. In the O.T. there are prophecies concerning His birthplace (Micah 5:1-2), that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), that He would be rejected by His own people (Isaiah 53:3), that He would be betrayed by a close friend (Isaiah 41:9), that He would die by having His hands and feet pierced (Psalm 22:16-18), and that He would rise from the dead (Psalm 16:10, 49:15). In the N.T. all these prophecies, and many more, are fulfilled by Jesus. Now, this is the question you must answer: "If the Bible is not inspired from God, then why does it have so many fulfilled prophecies?" How is that possible if the Bible were not from God? Only God knows the future, has power over it, and can look into it to tell us exactly what will happen. In the Bible we have the fingerprints of God: fulfilled prophecy!

and God tells you that you caused your follow man undue stress by my making derrogatory remarks at their religion? Are you gonna throw a tantrum and piss in His face like you do the rest of your Jewish, Catholic, Muslim and Protest brethren that don't believe in your exact brand of Holy Roller, greater than God religion?

And live respectfully and do good, and eschew evil? Or would the church people say you are still going to Hell?

Do they say your God has to be as real as theirs? And how real is theirs anyway? Sometimes they say things that are extraordinarily weird, makes me wonder what is real to them and what is unreal.

Anyway, is it okay to just believe in an imaginary God? And to pursue goodness and mercy throughout your life?
