If you're speaking of the ancient gods of Rome and Greece, the answer is no; they believed in themselves, and thus believed in gods.
If you talking about the Christian God - this higher power is not an old man in a long flowing robe; it is an essence that always was and always will be and therefor doesn't "think" as we understand it.
