If she is spending all her time looking after the thoughts of the human animal, when does she get time to have a holiday herself ?. One spaced out fictional character methinks.

And if the human animal is in the form of the fictional 'God' (who works 24/7/365) then why is there a belief that every 7 days is a rest day?.

I mean it has all the qualities of a book.....a cover, a spine, pages, etc......I've turned it upside, all around, shook it, experimented on it, etc......and still I have no proof that it was inspired or wrote by God.....am I weird for thinking that?

"I got saved" vs "I was saved"? Is it just a common grammatical mistake or is there a semantic detail about being (getting) saved that changes the syntax?

The same term is used to describe the duration of both Heaven and Hell. Wouldn't it be more charitable to assume that both are of limited duration... or it it so important to some people that their joy go on forever that they consider others frying in Hell eternally a small price to pay?!?

I've noticed that the most inoffensive anti-Islamic statements here get flagged and penalized, but really hateful stuff -- check out http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgsAEPm5bkmvTbhh9RzYUcfsy6IX?qid=20061207155806AAkNl76&show=7#profile-info-AA10104673 -- seems to go unnoticed even though I, and others I'm sure, are flagging it.

Some christians say the stories of Jesus walking on water or turning water to wine is "proof" that he was the son of god, but how can people be sure that the "Miracles" of Jesus really happened? How do people know that stories in the bible were true and not gossip. I mean, the truth is easily distorted and exaggerated. For example, once I did a cheap levitation trick in school to several people. I only went up about 3 inches. Then stories started to spread. One of the people I showed it to said I rised about a foot into the air. Then I overheard another person (that I've never seen before) tell stories of seeing me flying across the hallway( Which I obviusly never did). About a week later, a freind told me that people said they saw me walk on walls like Criss Angel which was another lie. Similar events could have happend before, especialy 2,000 years ago when people were much more gullible. How can we be sure the same thing did not happen to jesus?

I am asking this question again but rewording it because I did not receive any satisfactory answers, and some people misunderstood my question or were offended. I am going to be very redundant in my wording as to be clear that my question is fully understood. If you don’t have any knowledge or insight into this topic or into biblical scripture please don’t answer the question:

I am quite aware that Blacks and Jews are not the ONLY groups that have suffered in the world. Every group, women, children, Native Americans, homosexuals etc. have been persecuted in this world. However the focus of my question is on Blacks and Jews in particular not because they are the only groups that have faced conflict but because they have faced it for the longest period of time and to greater extremes. Blacks and Jews are the only targets of hate that the Bible is not clear on. The Bible clearly explains why women are faced with the problems that we are. The Bible clearly explains why homosexuals are. The bible is clear on Muslims as well. But I have not found any clear explanation on the suffering of Blacks and Jews. Jews have been the most hated and persecuted of all people in the history of man and have faced this hatred and persecution longer than any other group. Jews have faced slavery, genocide, anti Semitism.
Blacks are second on the list of human suffering with slavery, discrimination, hatred, disease, poverty. My question is not necessarily in reference to American Jews or American Blacks either. Jews in America have had tremendous success and are generally accepted in our society. American Blacks have gained civil rights and are also becoming successful and are generally accepted in American society. The question is in more in reference to the persecution of Jews throughout history and presently in Israel and Palestine etc. And in reference to Blacks in Africa who are dying in enormous numbers from poverty, are the fastest growing victims of AIDS, and are constantly facing war and genocide.
So what I would like to know is if anyone has knowledge of any Biblical Scripture that gives insight into the suffering of these two groups. I have heard some theories but have not been satisfied by them. For some reason people are not comfortable with this issue and there is not much information on it. I don’t feel it is a racist question or an unreasonable one. I was called illogical for asking this but it is very logical to me. If you think the question is silly DON”T ANSWER IT!
The Bible is supposed to be our instruction manual on life and it pretty much gives insight on all issues but this subject no one wants to speak on. Why, I don’t know. I have heard some theories regarding black people i.e. Curse of Ham, Mark of Cain etc. but no one has been able to validate them. I have not heard much about the plight of Jews. Enlighten me.

that spontaneous generation is true. It has already been proven false a while ago. Even a top evolutionist said that he knew there was no way that what he believed was possible, but that he could not accept that there was a God. What do you say about this spontaneous generation thing?

I read someone say that they were convinced because it says God sent his only son to die for sins.

How is that convincing?

***Not bashing, just really, really curious***

How does that convince you that the guy is the son of God?

How does that convince you that his death cleansed sins?

How does that convince you that this god sent its son because it loved the world?

How does that convince you that this god exists?

I dont understand how someone could believe in god. I am not bashing religion, but I would like some feedback. For those of you who are religious how do you believe in god? I mean they say that our universe is expanding at an accelerating speed, and eventually, everything, including atoms, will deteriorate, and everything will be cold and dead. I just cant comprehend that heaven is "not a physical place" as i have been told. How can people believe in something with no proof. And btw there is no proof that the bible is real, and yes I know that jesus was real or whatever, but i seriously doubt that he did what they say he did.
