that spontaneous generation is true. It has already been proven false a while ago. Even a top evolutionist said that he knew there was no way that what he believed was possible, but that he could not accept that there was a God. What do you say about this spontaneous generation thing?

Awesome. Creation disproves spontaneous generation. Priceless. Really. This is the strongest logical argument in favor of Creation that I have ever heard: that it is provably, scientifically impossible that something can come from nothing.
The only thing that I can say with any certainty about the beginning of life is that I can't make any certain statements about it. I wasn't there and I don't know and I never will know. Neither does any other anyone.
I can say what sounds plausable to me, but none of my evidence (or yours or his or hers) would stand up in court because none of us were eyewitnesses.
But, thanks to your efforts, we can now eliminate the possibility that life began in an instant of spontaneous generation.
I'm going to sleep A LOT BETTER tonight.

Spontaneous Generation was proved false quite a while ago. When one considers early hominid skeletons, it becomes impossible for one to logically believe we appeared in this state 10,000 years ago. This leaves a huge question unanswered. What started it all?

Was the first cell formed by a certain collection of elements who somehow beyond our understanding became a cell? Or did something else have a hand in it? Perhaps it is something else entirely? All I know is that the evolutionary process cannot be denied, but whatever started it all remains a myster.

Evoluti0n and Religion can go hand in hand. I believen evolution but i also practice Islam (it has the same MAIN beliefs as chritstianity) We cant just ignore all of the proof that evolution is true, like how they're many different types of an animal liek a squirrel and chipmunk. Animals evolve to fit there enviroment. For example did u know that a whale use to Walk on all fours like a dog or tiger? THats right, but scientist think that it's habitat flood or became to hot or there was just a shortage of food, and it evolved into a huge sea creature. ANd thats a proven fact, bcz scientist actually have all o f the whale's fossils on the fossil record. Dont beleive me? http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2001/09/images/0919_whales1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2001/09/0919_whales1.html&h=400&w=313&sz=11&hl=en&start=7&tbnid=DMtv-hHPQWYwmM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=97&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dwhale%2Bwalked%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DIPo%26sa%3DG
type in that on the internet.

Evolution (change in living things) and abiogenesis (the origin of life in anything) are two seperate subjects, so no, you don't have to take one with the other. We don't know exactly how life came about in the first place, but we're looking into it, and just because we don't know yet is no reason to stop looking and proclaim 'goddidit'.

Edit: Just because you won a Nobel Peace Prize doesn't make you a biology expert. Find me a Nobel Prize winner in biology who said something similar, and we'll talk.

Pasteur's experiment disproving spontaneous generation of life was a volume of liters for up to six weeks. This demonstrated that slimes and maggots and mice did not spring from food as previously believed. It never precluded spontaneous generation ever occuring. For life to give rise to life on Earth, it had to happen once in 500,000,000 years in the volume of the oceans. Once it happened, the world changed and life consumed the medium from which it arose, preventing it from recurring.

As so many christian do that have not really read anything about evolution other that what appears on some christian website, you are confusing two completely seperate issues. Evolution and the origins of life are not the same thing. Evolution does even address the issue of how life on this planet began. So please, do some reasearch and reading before you make such uninformed and unprepared statements.

Spontaneous generation is not evolution. Life is a complex chemical reaction that is the result of carbon based organic chemistry taking place in a condusive environment.

Add amino acids, place on primitive planet with reducing atmosphere and plenty of water, let simmer for billions of years.

Can't you just except other people's beliefs? I mean I believe in evolution, but strangely at the same time I believe in God. I respect other people's beliefs, unless they put others beliefs down, and maybe you didn't know it, but you kind of are. Anyways, how else can you explain how humans became who we are? We didn't just pop out of no where. Something had to happen, and that something is evolution. We developed, and there is proof! If you want to know, you shouldn't ignore the proof and be stubborn.

Spontaneous generation has NOTHING to do with evolution.

Evolution ONLY pertains to how life changes after it got started.

How life started is still a mystery.

And it has already been proven that evolution is a fact.

No, that is not what they are saying.

The experiments with spontaneous generation were with bacteria, flies and such. At one time people though flies just came from roting flesh. It had to be proven that flies laid eggs which turn in to maggots. that bacteria had to be introduced to woulds for them to become infected.

Life did not just start by spontaneous generation. It is in a complex environment with the right molecules that started self replicating. Not something from nothing.
