I am so sick and tired of the stupid Evolution/Creation debates. I wish everyone would just agree to disagree and get on with their lives. If you don't believe in evolution fine, if you don't believe in creation fine, but stop fighting over whose right and who's wrong. Because it really doesn't matter, just believe in what you want to believe and leave it at that. Don't push your beliefs into other people's face, respect other people's beliefs, don't try and change someone's mind about what they believe. I'm an atheist, I have strong belief in evolution, however, I respect those who believe in Jesus and the story of creation. I only hope they can respect my beliefs in return. I haven't been to church in a long time, I have thought about going back simply out of respect for my Christian family, and to see them every Sunday. In the end we all need something to believe in, it doesn't matter what it is. So please just respect others and leave this pointless debate behind.

Just the way the world is now? So many religions, but so little morality and humanity as a whole in the world. With the current capitalist/consumer-ism/selfish mindset that is programmed into most people in childhood, knowingly or unknowingly, where will life lead the future of human kind spiritually? Even most Christian churches are a fashion parade if little else, with the preachers (Creflo Dollar comes to mind) frequently speaking on money and increasing "wealth" per the gospel.

Where are these concepts going to lead people in the future?

Fulfillment according to "Abraham Maslow" is not a rational concept! It is like doing something for others without looking or any proofs or rewards!

Not to sound rude, but..

Has anyone ever actually met a satanist that WASN'T currently being evicted from their apartment for non payment?? Or DIDN'T hate their step-father??

I have no problem with non-believers, but when you go worshipping the devil you're just trying to shock someone, IMO.. and the few people I have met that claim to be satanists are already losers for other reasons..

Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with "satanists"

There is something bothering me. Where is the term "holy war" comming from? re. wikipedia: in non-specilist contest, the term "holy" is used in more gerneral way, to refer to some one or something that is associated with divine power.

For my understanding "holy" means something good or something special regarding god. how can "holy" be used in connection with war = killing? Why churches don't say anything about it? I see in people's gardens the 10 commitment, where it says: you should not kill. but on the other hand they are proud of their soldier killing other people?
Please give me some help to understand. sorry for my spelling mistakes, but english is not my mother language.

What is the symbolism of a lion in Christianity? I never noticed it until watching "The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe," and then it was also mentioned in a song "When I get where I'm going" about heaven, and the artist running this hand through a lion's mane. I'm baffled. Thanks!

If they come to the discussion table with prejudices and preconceived notions? I see a lot of that here. I'm just curious because it should be the active driving force in all of us to at least try to understand and accept our neighbor. We are all human. The rut we are all in can change in an instant, and coming together will be imperitave. How can you come together when you are as you are? What is right, and what is wrong? Please, define it. Tell us where you got the basis for the definition.
