I am so sick and tired of the stupid Evolution/Creation debates. I wish everyone would just agree to disagree and get on with their lives. If you don't believe in evolution fine, if you don't believe in creation fine, but stop fighting over whose right and who's wrong. Because it really doesn't matter, just believe in what you want to believe and leave it at that. Don't push your beliefs into other people's face, respect other people's beliefs, don't try and change someone's mind about what they believe. I'm an atheist, I have strong belief in evolution, however, I respect those who believe in Jesus and the story of creation. I only hope they can respect my beliefs in return. I haven't been to church in a long time, I have thought about going back simply out of respect for my Christian family, and to see them every Sunday. In the end we all need something to believe in, it doesn't matter what it is. So please just respect others and leave this pointless debate behind.

I think respect for others is far more important than knowledge. It's also naive to think you can change a person.

I didn't really want a whole lot of technical info on evolution, already know all that. I want people's views on the respect between evolutionists and creationist, if there is any. I do agree that it is part education, but on the underside there is still a debate.

I agree 100%. It also gets boring seeing the same basic garbage all the time.

Well, that would be okay if evolution were a matter of "belief". As animals do, in fact, evolve, it is a matter of ignorance or knowledge.

It is silly to think we have the answers as to how we got here to begin with (macro-evolution or creation or something we could never imagine, whatever). However, it is plan, observed fact that animals evolve. So, people who don't "believe" that simply need to be educated. The problem arises when they do not understand that it's not about belief. (And yes, there are people who don't believe in any shred of evolution.)

Truth is absoloute, either evolution happened or creation happened someone believing in the wrong one can have grave consequences for the individual and for society. For this reason it is important that we find resolution, resolution is reached through conflict. I am a Christian, if I am right and God created the universe and sent his only son to die to atone for our sins so that all we have to do is accept him as our savior then we will go to heaven and if we don't we go to hell then clearly I have only one choice if I truely love people. From the evolutionary standpoint the issue is less serious, but if they are right then people are wasting time and sacrificing pleasure and then ofcourse there are the scientific implication of understanding our true origin.

The Theory of Evolution is a valid tool for scientific study... all science comes from God. Thus all science is good... Evolution just dose not apply to mankind... I am of The True Christian Faith and I see nothing wrong in mankind learning all then can of God's science... if mankind would just stop mucking it up so.... all mankind could live in peace and plenty if God's science was properly used.

If you have a question concerning The True Christian faith you may email me... I do not preach... one honest question receives one honest answer to the best of my ability...

There is only One True God... science is not a God.... use science.... worship God.

Its not really a debate. Are you debating when you try to educate someone? The science is real, and sits atop our highest standards of proof.

The fact that some people chose to believe in a violent intolerant religion, instead of learning the fact of evolution, is a problem, irrespective of your being 'sick of it all'.

I'm willing to respect both side if we are accorded equal time.

Let's teach BOTH in schoos since both are "beliefs" and have not proof. Or let's not teach either.

Either of these suggestions would show true respect.

I try to change people's minds because refusing to believe in evolution is refusing to accept knowledge and I do not want a world where people are teaching others to believe in fairy tales

isn't it interesting how believers are constantly trying to convince people (and themselves) to believe
