Since nature screams of intelligent design, I'd have to say to believe in evolution is worse.
EDIT:
J.P. No body's been able to PROVE God doesn't exist. It would've been done to death, if it could be proven!
EDIT:
Comparing free will to mathematics is comparing apples to oranges, that's YOUR theory why free will doesn't exist. Have you made any decisions for yourself today? Have you chosen what to have for breakfast, what to wear, what to say? I just proved free will DOES exist. Nobody but YOU made those decisions, and probably no one else said or did or thought the exact same thing as you, today or any other day. Simple enough? (And I didn't need to be a mathematician to figure it out).
EDIT:
J.P.
That's your opinion. BTW, I have an atheist for a brother who is a lawyer who often reverts to .50 cent words when he feels threatened and feels the need to come up with a complex, wordy, circular reasoning to counter very pure logic, so I understand where you're coming from.
It's seems to be a common defence mechanism amongst the super intelligent (as is your arrogance in my ability to debate), when one relies entirely on book knowledge, and refuses to open their mind to other possibilities.
EDIT:
J.P.
I'm not here to bicker with someone who enjoys belittling others.
You've been on my mind and in my prayers lately.
All the very best to you.

Neither. Both are statements of faith.
The problem lies when you say, "Evolution isn't real because the Bible says so." ,or, "God isn't real because science says so."
Evolution is backed by evidence. You must deny Creation to deny evolution. Evolution says nothing of the existence of God.

GOD is real because the BIBLE says so " as there is definitely more proof than this statement for the existence of GOD

"God is real because the Bible says so."
At least science has some facts to back itself up. For all we know the Bible is nothing more than a few thousand year old version of Harry Potter.
I believe in God because of my own reasons. I don't believe a word of the Bible.

God has no flaws.
Science is full of flaws.
If you have been around as long as I have, you would have seen many scientific studies proven wrong over time.
Recently it was the issue of silicon breast implants.
Over the years much was declared to cause cancer, then a decade later it was agreed that those things did not cause cancer.
How can anyone carbon-date anything back to billions and billions of years ago when the technology is only a little over 100 years old?
We just keep funding these bogus research projects with our tax monies and saying it is true because we spent so much money on it.
In my life time, the scientific community was predicting another ice age, now it is global warming. What happened to the ice age?
And a recent study shows that the hole in the ozone layer is cyclical, which I have known for years.

Neither is worse or better. Science gives evidence to evolution but as of yet not absolute proof without stretching things a bit (and yes I am a scientist with multiple degrees.)
Someone on here said it is easy to prove that God is not real. Being a man of science and liking absolute proof, please present that here so we will all be enlightened....I watch on here batter back and forth but not solid evidence...the jury is still out...SO I HAVE PLACED MY CHALLENGE.

It's worse to say God is real because it's really quite simple to prove the contrary.
For those who would like to see the proof:
For knowledge to exist, three facts must be accepted as true:
- Math & Logic are valid
- Direct observations or aided observations supported by Math & Logic are valid
- Supernatural existence, if real, does not involve itself in the natural realm (otherwise, any 'fact' could be changed by the interference -- say by the God of Gravity changing his mind on how strong it will be tomorrow).
Free will can thus be shown to be false:
- The mind is a consequence of the physical nature of the brain (Nonsupernatural causation axiom).
- Quantum physics contains a truly random component (Mathematical axiom)
- All observations can be expressed mathematically (Mathematical axiom).
- All principles causal to observations can be expressed mathematically (Mathematical Axiom).
- All mathematical expressions can be evaluated (Mathematical Axiom).
- An evaluation need not be deterministic, it can be stochaistic, that is, describing 'probabilities'. (Statistical mathematics).
- Since quantum physics can affect the human brain, and thus mind, the human state is mathematically stochaistic (consequential)
- If the quantum randomness is rescoped to be viewed as an input, the human brain ceases to be stoichasitic and is deterministic. (statement of rescope)
- A deterministically computable system is incapable of escaping its previous states, and produces outputs based on a computable result of the previous state and current inputs.(Turing-Church Thesis)
- Determinism counters free will. (By definition)
- Free will is not possible. (consequential)
- If a deity exists, free will is a natural consequence. (axiomic, potentially debatable. However, a deity that creates intelligence without free will cannot hold its creation responsible)
- Free will does not exist, therefore, deity does not exist. (modus tollens).
The idea of a god existing is disproven logically.
------
If anyone can find a flaw in it... let's see it.
-----
lookn2cjc: You should really understand a thing before you try to debate a thing. I never said we don't make choices. In fact, I specifically accounted for every possible method we could make a choice and showed that it is determined by the laws of physics, laws which are 100% mathematically determinable.
If I can determine your next state from your current state and your inputs using only math, then there is no free will; the illusion would remain, choices would still be made, but the decision would be set in stone.
Your counterargument is ... shall we say... "lacking."
----
lookn2cjc: Oh goody, is that the best you can do? "That's your opinion" and poorly veiled insults? I yield to your superior debate skills. *snicker*

The second.
The Bible does truly say that the God is real.
Science does not say that evolution is real. Evolution is a theory and has not been proven.

It's called blind fate. People kill and do all sorts of stupid things like protecting the Jews just because the bible said so... One day in the distance future, the human race is going to look back and find it hard to understand why the human race is so gulible.

It is not correct to say "science says so". Rather: "The majority of today's scientists say so". There is a difference between what scientists say and what science says.
