intellectual....free thinking....rational....reasoning or cool? Seems like the "in" thing to be around here. Maybe I will think of a few sarcastic questions to ask about this "Jesus" fellow, post some inappropiate user pic and sit back and wait to be cool. Whatcha think?

People defend their religion on a particular issue for example. They only speak of the good verses, the good actions.

People disclaim that same religion, they only quote negative verses and blunders committed by followers.

Who comes forward and defends his own cause while justifying the existence of the opposite too?

I see signs that say, "God hates fags," held by Christian groups; I also read, "God hates sin," on Y!A, etc.

I was not aware that the Christian God hated. Isn't the Christian idea of God supposed to be all-good? Perhaps somewhere in the Christian bible it mentiones God hating; I haven't read this bible, so I can't make this assumption. Is there such a mention in the Christian bible of God hating?

I'm not making a generalization of Christians, I'm just asking if there's any biblical-based justification for these statements, or if it's just an assertion.

If there is a God, why does he put us through all of this trouble be letting creation to continue to exist? If we were never created, we would be ignorant to everything such as suffering and happiness. Why should I be held accountable for my actions in this life when I didn't agree to be born in the first place. It sounds like a judge enforcing a contract that you were forced to sign.

there are so many religions and even mythology used to be a religion but yet every one will say that their religion is right. How do you know which one is the right one? Please do not answer this if you're just going to tell me that you just KNOW your religion is right. I don't want to see these types of replies

e. The Sun and the Moon both Emit light

According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night”.

Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. This confirms the Qur’anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400 years ago, Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and then copied such corrected passages in the Qur’an is to think of something impossible.

If you can understand that I'm agnostic, and have a sizable contempt for Abrahamic religions, then you can probably understand what went through my mind when i found out i was Christened.

Is there any way i can 'reverse' the Christening? I basically pledged my faith and trust in Jesus before i could even speak, and it feels like there's one part of my being that's pulling against me, pulling away from me and i know it's quite irrational but it's also stressing me out to know that i've had this done to me against my will.

I'd like any help or advice on any practices that exist to solve my problem.

Thank you.

I have a great friend who is a Jehovah's Witness, but we can't do anything outside of school together. She excludes everyone who is a non-believer of her religion, and it hurts me.

I'm Jewish, if that helps.
