Zec 8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

Because, my dear son, they've forgotten about Love. God Love, Man Hates. It's pretty simple. The God of the Old Testement was a Bad One; a God who would visit punishment out on generations but Jesus preached Love. Love for one's neighbor, meaning the entire population, is a great thing. If we could all just love our neighbors, never mind what the Name of God is, how good would the world be then? Blessings, my dear.

well...I personal don't think God hates anything that he created....i'm christian...but i'd certainly would not hold up signs that say "God hates ****"...those people who say such things are going against church teaching believe it or not
In short, they are corrupting the beautifulness and goodness of God. As for sin...I don't know an appropiate word for what God feels toward sin...I know he doesn't like it at all...maybe he hates it...idk
And thank you for not making a generalization of Christians...too many people do that in the world today...and its wrong....

That's just a minority faction that has become very verbal on an issue with almost no Biblical support, much to the embarrassment of real Christians
When you hypocrites start with the thumbs down, why don't
you read your Bibles and post some Biblical evidence, beyond
the one and only statement that is always stated out of context

Yes the Bible says that God cant stand liars fornicators, homosexuals, adulterers, blasphemers, and etc.... God loves everyone, that does not mean that he hates people in general, God hates no one..... Just because he cant stand homosexuals does not mean that he hates the people who choose to be gay... He hates the act, he hates the fact that they choose to go against his word instead of being for it... He hates the sin that they have in there lives but not them... If he hated people then he wouldn't give us the opportunity to repent and he sure wouldn't forgive us.... God gave us all free will and the choice to choose a forever kingdom of Heaven, or a damned endless pit of fire and brimstone... We have to decide what we will do and what things we will follow... He can't decide for us....

The whole "God hates fags" group is a small kooky group (Westboro Baptist Church), much of which is made up of one family (Phelps). However, the Bible does say "God is angry with the wicked every day" and Romans 9 says "Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated." This indicates that God can be angry and hate.

Those "God hates fags" people are one group called the Westboro Baptist Church. Most Christians will disagree with their line of "reasoning". The Christian God isn't supposed to hate. I'm not Christian, but I do worship God, and God doesn't hate anyone.

There is biblical justification to say love the sinner, not the sin. And justification for Homosexuality is an abomination before God. There is no justification for saying God hates to anything or anyone, nor is there justification for telling someone they are going to burn in hell for a sin they commit. God is the one who will decide that and we are biblically justified to say i cannot judge you, but I can say i do not like what you are doing as it is wrong in relation to scripture. Of course, to say that, one has to be open to the same thing being said to them as none of us is sinless.

In the Book of Proverbs, there is a text that says that God can hate. But it sounds different from what we too often hear and what you are referring ot. He hates those who are quick to shed blood, he hates rumour mongers, he hates those who try to start quarrels between brothers, the hates those who rush toward evil... He hates a lot of things that we don't seem to hate very much today.
