e. The Sun and the Moon both Emit light

According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night”.

Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. This confirms the Qur’anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400 years ago, Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and then copied such corrected passages in the Qur’an is to think of something impossible.

MY FRIENDS PICKUP A COPY OF QURAN WHICH IS THE LAST TESTIMENT ?

There are so many errors in the quran. The sun sets and rises in muddy water, mountains are pegs to keep the earth from shaking, sperms are formed in the vertabre. this is besides the errors in arabic languge. When you read the quaran in arabic, it feels as if Allah is talking to himself, giving orders to himself. The quaran also contains foreign, unfamiliar, arabic words. These words are used in a way that takes away from the normal meaning, making them mean something else. Adjectives and verbs are used without observance of the concords of gender and number. There are too many Freudian slips in the quran to count. Some of them are corrected later by adding the word "qul." Translated in english, this means, "say." In the beginning of the verse to give the impression that Allah is ordering Muhammad to say those words, but in other cases, adding "qul" was not possible.

Another ridiculous point in this verse is the claim that Allah sent a raven who scratched the ground to show this son of Adam how to hide the shame (nakedness) of his brother. What in the world does this mean? How about this one: The palm tree cried because muhammad wouldnt preach under it. Or, muhammed made the water flow out of his fingernails, so people could drink.

The quran contains sentences that are incomplete and not fully intelligible without the aid of the commentaries.

There are words you will find with inconsistencies and will note this is not in compliance with the aid of the Arabic grammar. Sura 2:177. also 5:69

Even the word Quran is not an arabic word, it is an Aramaic word. These are only some of the errors in the quran. There are over 1000 foreign non arabic words in the quran in 50 dialects.

Well since you chose to speak for us atheists, I will tell you I think they are both scientifically reliable as TP and that is about it.

27:61 Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas ? Is there any God beside Allah ? Nay, but most of them know not!
So the Earth doesn't move????? I guess that whole rotation thing is wrong?

67:5 And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.
Shooting stars are missiles fired at devils????? Ever hear of metorites?

81:1 When the sun is overthrown,
81:2 And when the stars fall,
OK....so now the stars are going to fall?????? You know they are pretty far away and basically Earth would fall into them since they are a lot bigger.

I got more if you want.

Thank you for that interesting observation my friend. Whether is is a reflected light or a direct light, you can still call it light, and that's why the Bible say it is of different light. If the Bible says it is of the same light, than your argument is very powerful.
Whether you believe the light of the sun is the same with the light of the moon or the same, will not save or condemn you at all.
But there is this text in the Bible which says: "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it."
Isn't it interesting that the Quran also mentions that Isa Almaseh is Kalimatuhu, or the Word of God?
Further down in John 1 it says: "10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own,[c] and His own[d] did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

Jesus was born not as the result of flesh, but the Holy Spirit's power came into Maryam, and so He was the only one born without a father, and the Quran also called Him Almaseh Isa ibnu Maryam , meaning "Christ Jesus the son of Mary".

Talking about "light", isn't it interesting that the book of Isaiah mentions that the "Light" will come at the end of time before the Akhira, and that many of the descendants of Ishmael will be saved as Hanif Moslems, because they are descendants of Abraham. Isaiah 60:1-7 : "1 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “ Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land,
The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah;
All those from Sheba shall come;
They shall bring gold and incense,
And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you,
The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you;
They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar,
And I will glorify the house of My glory. "
Who are Kedar and Nebaioth Read Genesis 25: 13-15
13 And these were the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, 15 Hadar,[a] Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

So you can see that the Bible predicted the saving of Kedar and Nebabioth which are the first two children of Ishamael, or the grandsons of Abraham.

You might be interested to know that even the ancient Chinese writings which have been in existence before even the first five books the Hebrews' Bible were written by Moses, also mentioned about this Kalimatullah, or The Word, "Dao", who created everything? That He(the Dao or Kalimah/Word) created "man" from "earth", just as mentioned in the Bible and the Quran?

Not to support the bible or anything but the statement "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night” does not claim that the moon emits it's own light.

Sorry man.

How do you get "the moon emits light" from "God made...the lesser light to rule the night."? Sounds like you may not be qualified to make a scientific comparison.

The Qur'an also says that Mohammed split the moon in two, and made one half to stand in front of a mountain. Do a Y!A Q&A search on the subject. Maybe that's what created the asteroid belt. I'm not sure...

It would make sense that the older of 2 books would be less scientifically accurate. It still doesn't mean that the more accurate one is 100% accurate. And even if it is 100% accurate, it does not mean it is from God.

I thought that was interesting on the surface, so I checked the
Bible to see what it did say and all I could find was that the moon
ruled the night, it didn't say anywhere that the moon emitted it's
own light, you need to be accurate with your facts

The Q'uran also says that God turns people who miss the Sabath into monkeys and pigs.

So much for the "science" of the Korhan.

Makes a much better doorstop or toilet paper dispenser than actual reading book.

I thought it could only be read (and quoted) in the original Arabic anyway - what sort of infidel are you, trying to give us an imperfect translation of a perfect scripture?
