I know this is a crazy question. However, it needs to be asked because...well damn it, just because I'm asking so that's reason enough. Anyway, I'll be thinking about is there really a heaven, and also I'll be thinking about is there anyway I can do something that takes an all out effort before I'm going to die. Example: Tell someone something that I can pass on to someone else to where they make sure they don't forget to keep passing what I say on to someone so in a way I'm never forgotten. Kind of like the Bible. Legendary words made true. Passed on for thousands of years. What would you think about and what would you do in your last few minutes on Earth?

Nothing to do with the logistics, DNA, feeding, or space required for the animals.

If this story is true, wouldn’t we all be related? Would we all have been raised in the same religion? I mean if your parents tell you stories about this as you are growing up do you convert? And to what? No other religions exist! I’m just thinking if this was true, there was a time when everyone KNEW there was a god and then this…?

you cannot deny that Christ himself said that whatsoever you do to these the least of my brethren, that you do unto me, or that the bible says judge not lest ye be judged, or that Christ sought out and befriended the most outcast people in society that he could find at that time--he was on foot and gays hid themselves well or got killed, and he only ministered for 3 years, so the fact that he didn't find one, befriend them and manage to have the story survive king james and all the other editors of the bible in centuries passed is a criminally weak argument to support the idea that Jesus was a homophobe, so why do "christians" prize their own intolerance, prejudice, and unjustified hatred more than they prize Christ's actual actions and words? Will there be a special level of hell for these people to burn in who worship hatred and pronounce it Christ?

Elton John said that he feels that organized religion should be banned altogether because it promotes bashing of homosexuals and lacks compassion. He added on that there are too few leaders in religion today and that most religions are teaching hate rather than compassion towards people who are different.
What is your opinion to what he said? Do you agree or disagree or are you somewhere in the middle?
My opinion. I sorta agree with him. I can see what he means about bashing people but I don't have a problem with religions bashing people as long as those people are within that religion. I have a problem with them bashing people with their beliefs outside their religion.
Before you write anything rude. Remember he said organzied religion, not certain beliefs.

It doesn't have to mean something like an illness either, we all know people thank G-d for everything from hitting home runs to passing exams to making it through a plane flight. So would you rather believe that you had divine help or that you had the strength on your own.

This Is An Question That Boggles My Mind. Shouldn't Religion Promote Tolerance For One Another? I Know Some Of You Will Respond That It Does Promote Tolerance And Acceptance IF Those People Change Their Ways. NewsFlash, That Is Not Accepting People For Who They Are. For Example, The Most Obvious Example Is HomoSexuals.

Many People Condemn Those Who Are Homosexual In The Name Of Religion. Some Also Go To the Extent Of Damning Individuals To Hell, And Saying God HATES. How could one come to the conclusion that God Hates, and God condemns just because one is different?

Secondly, Many Will Quote The Bible Blindlessly. If The Bible Were Taken Literally, Then I Guess Slavery Would Still Be Permited. "Slaves Obey Your Masters". Seriously People, We Live In A Contemporary Society Where We Should Be Able To Think And Evaluate What Is Right/Wrong. Religion Is Great, And I Am Not Blaming Any Religion. I Think That People Are Just Led Blindly As Like Sheep Following Each Other.

I have to ask, and I'm putting this on the Religion And Spirituality section for a reason.

On December 26th, 1997, my stepfather cut my mother's life support. She couldn't do anything on her own, and was hooked up to many wires and tubes, such as for breathing, going to the bathroom, food, and many others.

The doctor said that despite her cancer and its spreading, she had already lasted 16 months longer than was expected of her. They said her will to live was keeping her alive, and how she often spoke of the fact that she felt she couldn't leave her children alone, and how much she loved me and my brothers and sisters. The doctors said so long as she was on life support, she was still be alive, and that in time, they may be able to help reduce the symptoms, and give her back her breathing, and remove some of the tumors.

My stepfather had it removed. At about 11 AM on December 26th, 1997 -- an hour after being cut off all the supports she had -- she died.
