Exactly. In the Old Testament sheep, rams, doves, etc. were sacrificed to God at the altar by the priest for the sins of men. In the New Testament, the blood of Jesus Christ replaced the sacrificial blood of animals. Christ was born of a pure bloodline. The blood He sacrificed for mankind's sin is in purest form.

The Bible says that, "Through one man (Adam) sin entered the world and through one man (Christ) we are saved." Jesus's blood that he shed for sinners redeems us. It allows us to repent for our sins and be saved. In B.C. the Jews would sacrifice a lamb and that unblemished lambs blood would be used to atone for sin. When Jesus came and died, he became the Lamb of God who's blood was shed for the sins of the world thereby giving us a way to eternal life.

His living blood goes throughout his body and our sins are carried throughout and they are cleansed the same way anybodies blood is cleansed in their body. We are part of his body so we are cleansed too.

THE MOST POWERFUL SUBSTANCE EVER KNOWN.
IT HAS POWER TO HEAL,
TO CLEANS,
TO DELIVER,
SET FREE FROM BONDAGE,
MAKE WHOLE,
TO SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH,
I COULD GO ON AND ON
BUT YOUR MIND COULD NOT EVEN BEGIN TO COMPREHEND THE POWER OF THE HOLY BLOOD OF GOD.

it depends which church you go to, the church I used to attend (and most churches I have ever been to) serve the desert wine variety of J blood.... so it's good to cleanse the palette after a meal, best drunk with cheese cake or cheese and crackers.

no.
but according to many christians its good for....covering them...
so i guess they enjoy bathing in blood...or at least having it all over them.....odd i know.....
so you can imagine that whole drinking of the blood and eating of the flesh thing. its like some sort of cannibalistic ritual.
its kinda hard to tell where the metaphors end and the literalities begin....so ive just decided to take christians literally in everything they say.
