Easy enough question, which bothers you most? And for those who have had others attempt to disprove your beliefs, did you listen, or did you regard everything they said to be useless?

This is a tough question, since the two usually go together (a lot of people who try to argue against atheism just resort to mocking it). That said, I think that it's more offensive to be mocked than to be debated against. To answer your second question, I do my best to listen...it can be pretty tough, though, especially when you don't feel like the other person is making that same effort to listen.

I am mostly offended by ones who mock my beliefs. For ones who try to disprove my belief, I do listen to their side first. Then I give my thoughts on what they had said. It's hard to believe (especially on here) that you CAN have an intelligent, non threatening conversation/debate if a person only opens their ears and mind to other people's thoughts and beliefs. It really does happen.

Both.

Deliberately mocking and/or disproving a person's religious belief is disrespectful and shows intolerance, bigotry and prejudice towards the person and his faith.

I don't mock or disprove anyone's belief unless they cast the first stone. Only then will I respond in the same manner.

Leave each person alone to what they believe and worship.

Peace and respect.

Like others have suggested it shouldn't ensue besides theres no want to mock even though it is puzzling on yahoo solutions now to not do it. even as each and every question from the Christian community on the area elect to really ask questions that end with them being offensive/mocking in course of athiests and then most of the time the questions are only statements about how damned athiests are or how they lack morals etc.

Actually, neither of these things bother me anymore. They used to. But the more I got to studying the life of my Lord, the more I realized He endured these very things continually throughout His earthly ministry. Part of what was going on in the hearts of men seeking His crucifixion was mocking, the other part seeking to disprove who He clearly revealed Himself to be. I'll never endure it worse than He did. Therefore, it puts it all into perspective for me.

And I listen when others come at me with arguments. What it usually does is stir me to get even more Berean (studious) about what I believe and see if I have left room for error in my own views regarding what I believe.

Ultimately, every opposition has been something to give thanks for. If it weren't for my adversaries, I wouldn't know how faithful God is to fulfill all His promises. If it weren't for opposition, I might not have been as inspired as quickly to go as deep as I have in searching out the precious treasures of the Word of God. Because of all this I know God better and I know His faithfulness. This is a good thing!

It's a toss up really but if I have to chose one it's more offensive to have someone attempt to disprove my beliefs.

Depending on the manner their attempts were made (if they were respectful) I have listened to their opinions but my beliefs in Wicca have not nor will they ever change.

Neither, I value what every one has to say. I do regard what people have to say and if I am unsure I research and come to the conclusions I write.

It is not offensive to me what other people believe, I in the same way don't mock or attempt to disprove anyone I just write what I believe is Truth.

I'ts annoying to me if someone engages in petty name-calling and bad jokes without a valid question.I'm happy to have an intellectual debate, but I make a point of ignoring questions which are just mocking and bashing. And yes,I listened, and was able to provide a good response.

Mock.

Disproval shows it could be a debate, I may learn something, and they might too.

Mocking is simply disrespectful and rude, and gets you nowhere fast.

Well I'm used to being mocked, and having someone attempt to contradict/disprove my personal dogma--well, they can't. So...
