You say that the qu'ran is the final revelation of God and it's the answer to all humanity! You also say that the Jews and Christians have corrupted their holy books. Isn't this another way of saying God made a mistake to them in the first place? And God never changes His mind, so why didn't He give us the qur'an in the first place?

just curious

They really demonize ALL evolutionists and lump us into one big extremist category. Anyone else find this a bit manipulative?

If you think deeply about existence it is really mind boggling. Evolution is a good scientific theory, but so what; what was there before the primordial ooze and where did it come from? Different world religions partly exist make people feel comfortable with their exisitence and the existence of the universe - most claim to be "true" to the exclusion of all other religions. Of course, not all religions can be true, so it seems that religion is mans way of dealing with an impossible question.

etc. but why can't we create humans out of a science lab? no i'm not talking about clones, why can't we create compounds and elements to Create humans? is this too much for the human brain to funtion? why wouldn't anything that was randomly created by chance be relatively easy for us to figure out how by now how to create? we have figured out So much stuff but we can't figure out how to Create people?

Do you Christians believe that - for example -
Someone who did slightly more bad than good in their life and didn't repent would experience the same pain in the afterlife as Hitler? Or would it not be as bad for them because they weren't as bad a person as Hitler?

As far as I know, all Apostles except John were martyred for their beliefs. Does anyone have any details on how and where the various apostles died?

What is god to you? Is god the creator of the universe and us, the “Alpha and the Omega”. Let’s just say this “god” created everything and is so great, why would he pay any attention to us? There are hundreds of billions of other galaxies out there.

http://www.tagoror.com/enciclopedia/es/media/6/6b/galaxy_ap19_2003_750pix.jpg

We are but a spec in our galaxy but an atom compared to the universe.

I don’t believe in personal god(s) of mainstream religion because of the horrible olds that “god” made this universe than only pay attention to a small planet. Sending his only son down to free us from our sins? Seriously, think and try to visualize the billions of galaxies (Yeah, Billions) than try to back up the fact that we are anything special?

I believe that if “god” created us than he is but a creation of a greater “god” and his/her/it’s “god” is a creation to another “god”.

You can’t just say “god” has always existed and will always exist because nothing last for ever, there is always a beginning and an ending for everything.

I believe our god is the universe it self because that is what truly created us. And whoever created the universe isn’t our god because he/she/it didn’t make us.

Open your mind, ask questions, and be intellectual.

adam and eve didnt have the knowledge of good and evil when they took the forbidden fruit and so didnt know that it was wrong to disobey god and hence it wasnt sin. Thus the original sin doesnt exist.

I have been a Bahai for a couple of years; previously i was an athiest. If it comes up in conversation about my beliefs i have found not many people know what the Bahai Faith is. Do you? Have you heard of it before? Whats your perception of it?

I have always believe that humans have evolved like all life. And believe that life started in the sea and life expanded exponentially from there. But I just now realised that to be an athiest you must either belive that the first forms of life (bacteria) either got to earth by some runoff of an alien civilization, or that it was created naturally by inorganic material. I dont believe that anything living can be created by any mixture of chemicals or minerials. Nor do I think a floating rock with any substance on it could hit the earth and create humans. But a christian god seems too much like something humans would create to cope with existance. I just cant see a god testing his creation and throwing the failures into a pit of fire for eternity? That sound like a human created story because it is a drama and humans have always loved/needed drama. But on the other hand what else could it be. Just some thoughts

There is no life after death. the soul of a person is the memory he/she leaves behind. The deeds we have done are either angelic, or ghostly. the remaines are just ashes in a coffin.

I was lifting weights at about 4:00a.m. I had been up for 24 hrs straight and decided just to stay awake because I had to drive my mom to the airport at 6:00am. So I'm up, lifting, talking to myself, talking to God, thinking about things. I have this chain I lift, big long chain, weighs maybe 20lbs, its not super heavy, but if you suspend it for a long time veins starts popping out of your arms. So I'm lifting this the chain then I set it down on this bench I have in my room. I set it down, turned away and walked a couple ft. to grab my water, as my back is turned I hear the chain rolling off the bench. I turn around to pick up the chain off the floor and the chain is in a knot. My chain was not in a knot when I set it down, I always have them straight when I'm lifting them, its part of the routine. So I'm immediately thinking like Holy ****, the first things that comes to mind is that the knot looks like a heart, and that my questions had been answered, the answer was Love.??

Because of the violence of the world today?? Well people make their own choices, and clearly God doesn't force himself on anyone... Yes the "Bible" was writen by man but "Inspired" by God. I know that everyone in their life, in their time of greatest need or struggle has called on the name of God... "Oh God, Why Me?" "God Why does this keep happening?" etc... But maybe he has not or didnt answer you because you werent listening? Or perhaps you didnt have faith in Him? (all you need is a mustard seed amount of faith) I dare anyone to sit in the quiet for 30min. and ask God are you real? I know he will answer... It shouldnt take some dramatic miracle for us to believe, but we give all sorts of excuses. We dont like to admit it but, we dont like the resposibilty that God requires. Give up our lives for His will?? Sounds insane, right? P.S. I wonder if more people lived for God the Father...would the world be a better place? less violence, hate etc...
