Because of the violence of the world today?? Well people make their own choices, and clearly God doesn't force himself on anyone... Yes the "Bible" was writen by man but "Inspired" by God. I know that everyone in their life, in their time of greatest need or struggle has called on the name of God... "Oh God, Why Me?" "God Why does this keep happening?" etc... But maybe he has not or didnt answer you because you werent listening? Or perhaps you didnt have faith in Him? (all you need is a mustard seed amount of faith) I dare anyone to sit in the quiet for 30min. and ask God are you real? I know he will answer... It shouldnt take some dramatic miracle for us to believe, but we give all sorts of excuses. We dont like to admit it but, we dont like the resposibilty that God requires. Give up our lives for His will?? Sounds insane, right? P.S. I wonder if more people lived for God the Father...would the world be a better place? less violence, hate etc...

Like I said... we make our own choices and God does not force Himself on any of us. Im not trying to force anyone to believe in Him... Its only a question, and if you dont like it then dont answer it. Simple. Chillax...

This world is violent because of our choices... Our choices not only affect us but those around us....

Religion is the cause and excuse for all wars throughout history. Religion itself is a cloak to hide behind when committing atrocities.
God is a figment of many imaginations and the bible was a best-seller written by man.
If all those who profess to believe in the bible followed the admittedly commonsense decency contained therein, everyone would rub along nicely.
The problem is, people cherry-pick from it.

It is not exactly true that people cannot believe that God does not exist. It it more a matter of the will. They do not Want God to exist because it means that they are accountable for their immoral choices. Also they argue that God cannot possibly exist because of the evil in the world, but using the same logic we could also that God must exist because there is good in the world. Neither one disproves or proves the existence of God. To experience the truth of Gods existence requires at least the possibility of Gods existence in the mind of the seeker after truth but without the prompting of the Holy Spirit it ain't gonna happen. God has darkened the understanding of many because they love darkness rather than light and until they experience the full consequences of their unbelief they will not be open to the idea that perhaps there is a God afterall. At that point God can give them light that they can respond to. If they still reject the truth then God will give them over to the reprobate thinking that they choose.

Good does not exsist without bad. It's odd, but some of the most amazing things come out of tradgedy. What kind of music would we be listening to if we hadn't brought Africans to USA.
We learn the most when the sh&*#t hits the fan.
Religon is scewed up, but I can feel a certain balance going on here. It took time, but I think there is a higher power.
Check out, "The Celestine Prophecy", by James Redfield. Maybe you'll get something out of it. Good luck.

Do you ever notice how people who don't already believe in God never hear God's voice? Why is it that you already have to believe in order to hear it? I'm listening right now... I hear my own thoughts, nothing more. I don't know what you're hearing, but I don't hear it.
If any of the atheists here ever claimed to hear God's voice, that would convince me. It shouldn't be something that you already have to believe will happen -- I mean, come on, he's an all-powerful deity for crying out loud. He should have a booming, unmistakable voice, the kind you hear and go, "OK, that's God." There shouldn't be any doubt whatsoever. And he should be talking in the heads of people who DON'T believe -- that would win converts all over the place.

There are planets only like this one do you quite have faith that god is calling down at this spec of rice, whilst in comparison with the the remainder of the universe? the only situation that tells me Is that Christians, Muslim or any faith are so self favourite, this is all approximately them, as though they have been something particular whilst truthfully there isn't something particular approximately any of you. So please open your eyes! This is exactly the point of a lot of ppl here you come here and bash her for asking the opposite of a question Atheist ask all day long.... I think you people are simply unhappy and waiting for someone who believes in God to post a question that you don't agree with to throw a temper tamp-tron why can't you just pretend to be the least bit intelligent and answer the question.... Just say the same thing you say when you post the question asking why do we believe in God.... give us your scientific knowledge telling someone to preach at church? Common I know you don't attend one but common sense should tell you the pastor doesn't ask questions he teaches the word of God.....

I have questioned God frequently in a quiet room about his existence. He never says anything, not even a sarcastic "no"! I think He is a little antisocial or something.
I for one think the world needs fewer religious zealots and more general-purpose nice people who may or may not follow any religion.

God does exist.... why?
Please show me proof that YOUR GOD exists, and that he is the only one.
Forget about all the killing done supposedly in his name.
Forget about the fact that as many people who profess alliegance to a religion are criminals as those who do not.
Forget about the divorce rate of those in churches.
Put something in my hand that offers undeniable proof that there is a God. Make sure that it's something that proves the existence of your god to the exclusion of others.
Many Christians try to place the burden of proof on those who do not believe. If you had a good case, you wouldn't need to stoop to these tactics. If you had objective proof, you wouldnt' need to be trying to convince others... the truth would do that on it's own.

Thanks for this sometimes we all need to hear a sermon once in awhile and i think alot of you can stand one also but, you have to believe with all open ears and faith. It is faith you lack when you don't believe you believe in anger and in wrong doings and all but you won't put faith in the Lord?

God doesn't exist because I said so. That argument is just as good as any evidence you have offered for the existence of god.
