Morality, ethically speaking! What does religion contribute that basic life experience can not provide? Love, compassion, empathy, hate, happiness, sadness are all emotions that religion do not provide so what is its purpose?

Christians why do you worship an executed criminal as a demigod when he himself claimed no divinity?

According to the ancient Jewish Mishnah the man you mistakenly call Jesus was executed as a criminal for heresy and sorcerery. Considering the myriad of people executed by christians for the same crimes you should have no proplem with calling JC a criminal. According to your own so called holy books he practiced sorcery; walking on water, changing water into wine (bootlegging?), murdering hundreds of animals by infecting them with demons (gaderine swine). JC was not a Christian he practiced Judaism, including visiting its temple. So if the Jews, his people executed him as a criminal you cannot proclaim him innocent. Also that horrible symbol of the near naked JC on the cross is obviously ancient homosexual sadomasochist porn, aren't you ashamed to exhibit such filth to your children? If you want to worship criminals why not Ted Bundy or Hitler? If you really feel the need to worship why not worship something innoccuos like Bugs Bunny or the Washington Monument?

Why do so many people read the Bible for moral code?

It advocates prejudice, cruelty, superstition, and murder. If you believe that your god is infallible, you can't throw out some of the rules, just because you don't like them.

What does this dream meann?

I had a dream that I was sitting in a church and some one walked up to me and said , "here is the hand, go put it back on the body" It was a dead person's right hand. I tried to ask Rit Springer (popular christian worship leader) to take it from me b/c I was grossed out and didnt want to touch a dead persons detached hand. She said she didnt want to do it and she went ahead and went to the fron of the church to lead worship. I got up and went to the room where the dead person was and noticed that he died b/c he was in a car accident. His whole face and jaw and teeth were moved from their original possition. His jaw looked that the jaw of a donkey- just really bucked. so I put the right hand back on his body and that was it. Please pray that God gives you and interpretation. Please dont answer if you dont know. Thanks.

I have my own story, but I'd really like to hear everyone else's. Don't you feel so much better now, feeling as though you know the truth? And do you think there will be a time when religion is almost non-existent because we know so much from Astronomy and Anthropology?

what is the point of being reincarnated if you have no idea what or who you were in the past life?

I think that is a belief that makes people sleep at nights...but do you really think that being reincarnated is a good thing..IN my opinion it is the same as you not being reincarnated, because you have no idea of your past life, how you lived it. you have no memories, or anything? so what is the point to believe you are some reincarnation, reincarnation is the same as you not being reincarnated, the human conscience focuses on that which it understands and can comprehend, so it is hard to believe you once had a life that you somehow can't remember....who invented this concept of reincarnation?

If christians are so moral, upright,tolerant and nonjudgemental, why don't they prove it instead of just talk?

Do you agree that we should stay away from religious arguments in this Q & A portal ?

I get very put off and angry by ppl who deliberately post provocative and derogatory questions and remarks about Christainity and other religions.

Don't they know that such remarks arouse anger and can even cause riots ? In my country , if anyone post such remarks about any religion (not necessarily Christianity), they can be charged in court for causing "religious disharmony".

I hope those ppl who have things against Christianity do their own bloggs and you can go write what you have against God and Jesus Christ till "Thy Kingdom comes ."

Why was New Life Ministries' Haggard fired?

I thought Christians promoted forgiveness and love. Why wasn't Haggard forgiven and allowed to stay? If the people he ministers to truly are Christians, you would think they would be CHRIST-LIKE and focus on love and forgiveness rather than on condemning people left and right.
