i became a believer when i was an adult. so, i can still relate to them. even my own family is unsaved. i suppose that is why i can still love them. many people may hate our religion but, as you probably know, we need to show love and forgiveness because we don't know who is going to become a believer yet. so, to answer your question, just treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Of course, if in doubt how to go about it, as the Lord - He will help you.

I dont see how anyone could hate a religion , which is based on love and mercy. What people hate is the people who represent the religion, who are more partakers in the evil of the world that denigrate the sacred message of gods word which is supposed to be based on love, truth and honesty.

When you feel true sorrow and regret for suffering caused by ignorance, misunderstanding or misjudgment, or deep rooted injury from the past, which causes hatred or rejection in the future of anyone even loosely associated with that pain, you will feel compassion for those who suffer this way. A feral cat who is afraid, will claw you if you try to rescue it, even to feed it and save its life, because it fears you as an enemy trying to hurt it.
So the same pity you would show to such a helpless hurt creature, can you see the same source of defensiveness and injury and fear in those who express this with fear, hate and disdain?

I have no control of what others love and hate. If someone doesn't like my religion or me for that matter I simply ignore them. There isn't anything I can do to change the way they feel. Other then praying for them.

I do it every day here. I do it by letting GOD work through me. If I try to take control I get get all bent out of shape at the misinformation and absolute disregard for anyones faith or beliefs. So I can tell by my blood pressure if it is me or DAD calling the shots. I'm still not sure why I am here though.
May GOD richly bless you.

explaining the positive side of our religion and proving the negative issues of our religion to them wrong. you can't force what one may think about to something. but they will realize it for themselves. if they want to say sorry, forgive them. but evangelizing them by force is a wrong way.

God is love and love is acceptance.
then accept those who do not seem to understand your feelings - accept them just as they are... not bad ... not good ... they just are. Quit judging them focus on yourself and your own relationship with God. You cannot fix them... Your love is the answer... God is love and you are that love... You make the mistake by judging others... Do not look and find fault with others any more that looking for bad in you. Look for love in yourself and other... Look for hate find hate.
accept yourself and you will see more positive in yourself and in others.!!
you are one with God if you focus on the love that is ..
