questions about sharia and specific details about islam. like asking why pork is forbidden or ask about sodomy as a sin in islam or interest rate on loans..
is it because:
1- they are really curious to learn more about islam
2- to pick on muslims answers and mock them and their religion .
of course all questions about islam are welcomed but i need to know the real motive behind them.
i hope no one take that as an offense i really want to know.
thank you

If you believe in the Adam and Eve story, what if: Eve disobeyed and picked the apple, BUT Adam refused to take a bite. How do you think the world as we know it would have evolved?

After reading people thoughts and beliefs have you taken anything away from it? Like ideas, questions, stronger belief in your own beliefs. Why?

I was just wondering how many responders here, chose their religion or had an 'epiphany' or 'enlightenment' that made them chose a particular religion?
I am not religious in the slightest, but I grew up as a Roman Catholic and was kept away from all other religious practices, until at age 11, I realised it was all baloney, and stopped believing.

So, answer me this, specifically the Christian and Muslim religions, ARE you Christian/Muslim, JUST because of who you were born to, and blindly follow, or did you appraise all of the other major religions and pick the one you fancied most?

This question also relates, i suppose, to social conditioning.

I am not eloquent enought to argue with everyone but i found the site... www.godisimaginary.com a great help, you should really have a look.

PLEASE, don't cut and paste 29 or so paragraphs from a holy book. I won't read it.

Peace!

Chris

came upon this quote while reading and thought it was interesting; body and soul are definitely connected, but to what extent? are they inseparable or can the spiritual (or soulful) be drawn away from the physical- kind of like mind over matter?

or do you think it's somewhere in between? other thoughts? total bull? true? partly true, partly false?

thanks & good day, all.

Someone help me out here. In Isaiah 43:11 God asserts: "I-I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior." In Luke 2:11 "because there was born to you today a savior, who is Christ the Lord, in David's city." The first scripture clearly states there is no savior but God. The next verse says that Jesus is the savior. Doesn't that mean that Jesus Christ is God? (NWT)
