Someone help me out here. In Isaiah 43:11 God asserts: "I-I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior." In Luke 2:11 "because there was born to you today a savior, who is Christ the Lord, in David's city." The first scripture clearly states there is no savior but God. The next verse says that Jesus is the savior. Doesn't that mean that Jesus Christ is God? (NWT)

No offense, but you sound hypocrite. You asked a Biblical question and expect others not to use their Bible but just their brains?

Anyway, I'll give it a try. The word "God", or "god" is a title. Just like Atty. or Doctor. Just as not all doctors ( or attys) are equal, those bearing the title God or god are not equal. Jesus himself said that his Father is Greater than he is. Paul said that the head of Christ is God. Are these not clear enough to you?

The problem w/ your "interpretative question" is you ommit other Scriptures w/c will debunked your Trinitarian Myth. What about the others that clearly indicate that Jesus is inferior to God?

Oh, about the savior thing. When George Bush liberates Iraq, he is their Savior. But, who actually did the work. Its poor Captain or Corporal Nemo. Are George Bush, and Captain Nemo the same, just because they are the Savior of Iraq?

Jesus is not Almighty God. Jehovah is the principal Savior. When Jesus was on earth, Jehovah was his Savior, supporting and strengthening him to maintain integrity through his terrible trials.
HEBREWS 5:7,8--"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him (Jehovah) that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered."
PSALM 28:8--"Jehovah is their strength, And he is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed." HEBREWS 1:9
ACTS 5:31--"Him (Jesus) hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins." (Jehovah exalted him to be a Savior, so he did not always have the title of Savior)
The name Jesus means "Jehovah is Salvation"
This name shows that Jehovah is the Source of salvation, accomplished through Jesus. For this reason we find the Father and the Son spoken of together in connection with salvation.
The Bible speaks for itself.

Jesus is the hand of God. He reveals that God exist through healing people and his unnatural miracles.

Therefore, he is the Savior, and God is God. And supposedly
God works through everybody, mostly through Jesus - making Jesus his right hand savior.

I'm not at all religious. That's just what I make of it.

This has caused confusion for many Christians over the centuries. The idea of the trinity was specifically constructed to deal with these kinds of issues.

Personally, I do not believe the Jesus & God are the same person. First, Jesus himself NEVER claims to be God. In fact, in a few instances where people attempt to worship him he stops them and tells them not to worship him be "he who sent me." Clearly Jesus is indicating here that God is a separate person from himself. Also, Jesus is often seen praying to God. Sometimes in public and some times privately. Do you believe that in these cases he is praying to himself? On the cross Jesus cries out to God...is he again talking to himself?

God, in most Christian thinking, is seen as The Holy Trinity - God is the relationship between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus the incarnation of the Son, who is as much God as the Father, so there is no contradiction (if you accept a trinitarian conception of God).

to say that a human form is God, is Idolotry.

that is one reason, (among many) that the NT is untrustworthy and not accepted by Judaism.

the NT is unreliable. God is God, and Jesus is Jesus. Jesus was no more divine than you or I.

whats really screwy is how that Christianity says Jesus was the jewish messiah... but the jewish messiah was just a guy. the jewish messiah was never god incarnate, a sacrifice, or any more divine than you or I.

Jesus is NOT god. Jesus was the SON of a god. That does NOT make him a god.

If you're worshipping jesus, you're disobeying your own commandments. One of which is not to worship a false idol.

There's only ONE god.

At least according to the Bible.

Having said that... I think it's all a load of crap and that Jesus, if he existed, was just a man and nothing more.

Jehovah is the King of Kings, and the Savior of saviors.
Jesus is the King of kings.

He is the one that sent forth Jesus as our savior.

Even the name 'Jesus' gives credit to God, for it means
'Jehovah is Salvation".

Hope this helps.
