questions about sharia and specific details about islam. like asking why pork is forbidden or ask about sodomy as a sin in islam or interest rate on loans..
is it because:
1- they are really curious to learn more about islam
2- to pick on muslims answers and mock them and their religion .
of course all questions about islam are welcomed but i need to know the real motive behind them.
i hope no one take that as an offense i really want to know.
thank you

Its more than likely that they are just curious. As a christian i didn't know anything about the Muslim religion until 9/11. It then became a big topic. Ive learned a lot and have also sought out info on other religions and just generally like to hear about other religions. Its just curiosity.

As a Muslim, I imagine they are curious about Islam, and if they arn't they want to mock Islam. You answered your own question. (well, I guess you could say I WANT to believe that they are just curious...But if they were that curious they could just read the Sharia for themselves...)

Some ask for information, others out of curiosity , but I'm sure there are those that are vindictive toward the Muslims. Many reasons and many anwsers.

I like to find out what makes people tick. If I fond out it's just idles superstition instead of rationally arrived at conclusions ( even if those are religious) then I point out how absurd the position is in my point of view.If that's mocking, so be it...

Can't say for anyone else, but when I ask questions about Muslims - maybe about 4 to date - I really am curious.

I don't see what the problem is. Most of the Christians I know have no problem explaining why you should not do what is forbidden. Although the Bible does not explain why, the Holy Spirit who abides in all who have accepted Christ explains it.

Islam is more freedom from God like Christianity was more freedom for the Jews

1. to gain their knowledge - to know better rather not to know.
2. yes, there is bad interest for mocking, just what thety always do.
