There is already a JewsforJesus group, and there are Muslims who include Jesus in their misunderstanding of Islam and their mistranslation of the Quran, including IslamiCity and all other Muslim websites, so why not get together and prepare a huge WELCOME-BACK-FOR-JESUS on his re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere in whatever country they expect him to land on their well anticipated return?

Muslims already have Damascus as his port of entry so why not be prepared?

Get the banners and floats ready and paint the town red for this great moment in history.

My friend is Baptist, and she believes that if you don't think the way she does, then you are wrong. She is constantly telling me that I need to be closer to God, and that I should go to church. I feel close to God already. I don't feel that I need to go to church to feel any closer. She is constantly judging me, and it hurts.
She believes that if you are not a Baptist then you are wrong. I respect her beliefs. I would like her to respect mine.

Ok. Let's say, I have a teenage son, and I tell him not to eat an apple I purchase for $1 mil and he went ahead to do it, I will be very upset and may kick him out. However, I know I will somehow get over it and forgive me son. Also, I will definitely not sue my son and try to get him into ail as I know jail will only change a person, not for the better. Most certainly I won't punish my grand kids if my son have kids.
So why does the God who love us to death throw us onto earth knowing the devil have great influence here, when adam and eve made one mistake? God is ever so forgiving yet he seems to punish us forever for one mistake whereas it would appear we as human being is more forgiving than he is today.
Also, if we never ate the apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, how were we suppose to know that we were doing something evil by eating the apple, or by not following ALL of God's word? We don't know the difference between good and evil before that.

I do not believe in christianity but some times I wonder if society can handle a godless world.
I think that there are a significant amount of people out their who would probably be more likely to commit crime and be a menace to society if they weren't bombarded at youth with the idea that there is a god who punishes or rewards people according to their ways. I'm sure a lot of people who currently commit crimes now believe in god but i bet, on the whole, if belief in that kind of diety was demolished you could expect waves of nihilistic behavior.

Sometimes when I see conservative commentors like Bill o'Reilly argue so viligently for christianity and against secularism, I think that they know that christianity isn't real but they also know that christianity keeps a massive amount of people from acting less productive and more destructive to society.
What do you guys think?

I can sort of see why a believer in a personal god might wish to offer prayers to a god which they believe might intercede in the real world on their behalf (I think its barking but thats just me).

What I really really do not understand is why there are people (the majority of believers on this site it seems) that seem to think that their god needs their praise as some sort of sustenance or he'll get angry, why would an all powerful creator need his creations to continually praise him, wouldn't that make him the most power crazed egoistical dictator ever known? I would like serious answers if possible.

are we supposed to address our questions to "christians, except for myaloo, mav, baby in womb, etc." "athesits, except for the ruler lady, darwin,etc" just because we know a handful of individuals who are not like the rest, doesn't mean we can really address a question without including them in their peer group. Anybody have a possible solution to this problem?

I am sure we have all heard of the obvious faults the mormon church as gone through and been accused of. But mormons are just brainwashed into believing all of this nonsense! I know the nicest people who are mormons, yet they are blinded in their faith! I understand people are wierd...but how can someone possible believe in a religion with practically NO evidence?
