Here is a thought for those claiming to be religous. What if a messiah showed up today claiming to be the messiah. What if he denounced everything you believed?

What if he said.
Mohammed was just a enlightened warmaker who led his people to unity and god never spoke to him.
Also god's name is not Allah
Jesus was just a pacifist intellectual, but not the son of god.
Moses was a liberator and a good statesman, but his laws were not the laws of god given to man.
There is no eternal reward or punishment other than the earthly ones.

Would anyone believe him? Would anyone actually see him as the messiah or are people so tied to scripture, ceremony, history, and other learned concepts that they would deride him and treat him like the scum of the earth? Meaning if someone told the truth would anyone listen.

There is almost nowhere on this portion of the site where atheists can argue against people who aren't Christian because the Christians drown them out. I say, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Taoists, Deists, whatever your non-Christian religious affiliation may be, have at it with the atheists for once (and hopefully the Christians won't chime in and ruin this experiment for everyone)!

I am Muslim and I met a Muslim girl and we fell in love with each other, after a week she told me that she is not a virgin that she made a mistake with another man and prays to Allah to forgive her for her mistake.. I understand that it was a mistake and I want to marry her, she never told her parents of her mistake, so her parents think she is still a
virgin my parents also think she’s a virgin. Now if I marry her is it 7araam on my part???

I want to Ostorha because she understands her mistake and asks for forgiveness from Allah everyday.. now if I marry her do I get SAWAAB????

also the wedding night as a custom both parents want to see her blood on a cloth the next morning. This is a must to show this cloth with her virgin blood on it….If I cut myself and put my own blood on the cloth and tell my parents its her virgin blood and also tell her parents the same, would that be 7araam to lie to both my parents and her parents and keep it a secret for life to Ostorha?????

What I mean is, when do we know to quit wasting our time on those who ACT interested in knowing Jesus and hearing about OUR personal relationship with Him ONLY to turn around and mock us and ridicule our beliefs either right away or behind our backs or the following week when they bounce a check and want to blame that on God too....and who we try to continue to share Christianity and the joy we know as Christians following the word of God, walking the path He chose for us, having such comfort in our destiny and our salvation.
The Bible tells us to share the word of God and it also tells us not to "throw our pearls to swine", when do YOU know the difference?
I sometimes have a hard time with this one.

If we all believe in a 'higher spirit' (God, Allah, Buddha ... call Him / Her what your faith believes), who supposedly wants the same for all of mankind, ie. 'peace and goodwill to all men', why the heck is everyone kicking 7 buckets of cr*p out of each other because of their (mis)interpretation of their belief?

Remember, Muslims make the retroactive claim that Allah is the same God of the Jews and Christians, and thus made revelations to Jews and Christians, however, those pesky Jews and Christians "corrupted" the word of God and thus, God (Allah) revealed himself yet again in the Quran!

Does this make sense? Muslims claim that the Jews and Christians BEFORE Islam were Muslims, and these Muslims corrupted the text of Allah, so Allah revealed himself yet a third time in the Quran, were somehow the modern day Muslim doesnt somehow corrupt the text of the Quran. What?????

"Ahh...but Allah protects the Quran, today where he didnt protect his Bible and Torah or yesterday!"

What!!!!! Is Allah and idiot!!!

Why would Allah, who can protect or preserve anything, NOT protect the bible and torah only to later change his mind like some infant in the toy store, and decide to finally protect his works? Didnt Allah know he would create 3 fricking religions as a result who would fight each other

I want to know who is also following Real christianity, and is not wicked. Our great Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:47 when he was talking about the old law,...

"And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 BE PERFECT, THEREFORE, AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT. Many say, every-one has sinned, and a sinner cannot enter the kingdom of heaven of God who is perfect, therefore accept Jesus into your life,. But I don't know whether they catch the point or not. How will Jesus redeem you? How will he make you fit to appear before God, I'd urge all men to look at Jude in it's entirety, and keep in mind that Godly men prefer the light, esp. Jude 24 To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence 'without fault' ..., and he has said to establish the difference between faults and faultlessness who change the grace of God into a licence for immorality,? Who had become perfect'n gres

There have been a few questions today about people in public schools, religious schools, etc. and their faith or lack thereof. I've also noticed a lot of people have mentioned their views changing when they reached college.

So, for those who follow a religion, is it a bad idea to go to a college that is not expressly for your religion? Why or why not?
