The first five books of the bible were far ahead of their time.
Read the hygiene laws in Deuteronomy about burying human waste. They used to eliminate in the water and then drink the water. God Told the Jews not to do that. About cleansing and not eating dead animals they didn't kill. We are just now learning about the dangers of eating fat and blood. yet god told them from the very beginning. If a dead animal fell in to the grain which was like money to them. Don't just take the animal out throw the whole thing away. They didn't know about high cholesterol or germs. I don't think the Eqypians knew is was a circle but I'll give you that one. Job 26:7 but they sure didn't know that the earth hangs upon nothing. they taught it was carried on the back of an elephant.
the early Christians made the first codex book. Before it was scrolls that had to roll out. Then the made pages as we have today. That was early Christians.
God must have told them because from man's earliest beginning he had tools, wheels, and fire and musical instruments.
Read Genesis 4:21 Those tools could not have been made with out wheels or fire. All the way through it speaks of plows and swords That takes fire and a wheel to turn.

Job knew before even the Egyptians. In a society that is a theocracy 'science' in not in the curriculum as it has a tendency to lead one far away from God, calling into question all that He has said and done. Oh, by the way, there is 'science' in the Bible, IF you would just look for it, you would find it. You know what? If people would study the Scriptures with an open mind they would not be so ignorant of what is in them.

They were mainlt agricultural so their inventions would be in the way of farming and building had the ancient Jews obeyed God's laws and stopped rebeling againgst him They would've been able to stay in the land and get more done.

And?

Look at Egypt today! Look at Greece! Look at Mexico and whole Central America!
All the "great" civilizations...apparently discovering the wheel, or building pyramids it's not enough...
