Humans can't "live and let live" because they are inherently sinful. This is why a temporal world peace can never occur. As long as humans are sinful, it will be impossible. The only "world peace" that will ever occur is after Christ comes and gets rid of all the sinners (those who haven't accepted His gift of salvation). Also, there are so many different interpretations of what is truth because they are based upon a flawed human understanding. That is why we Christians must always allow Scripture to interpret itself. Precept against precept, line against line. By definition, there can only be ONE truth, and anything that contradicts that is FALSE. Therefore, there is only one true church on the Earth. Faith is not "31 Flavors". In fact, the Bible tells us that just before Christ returns, the whole world will be shaken into one of two groups, regardless of what your religion is now. One of them will be the true church. The other will be the false one.

Because we humans are arrogant and stubborn. We also have a habit of getting really passionate about things to the point where we do not see sense. You may strongly believe that all religions are essentially different branches of the same tree. Equally, a devout Christian/Muslim/Jew etc (or any follower of a particular religion) may be so passionate about that religion that you (and I) would be accused of being "misguided" or heretic.
Bottom line is, we seem to have this need for conflict which is why you'll always have some smart-*** claiming, "Everyone is wrong, except me of course"

I dont kick the crap, especially 7 buckets worth, about others misguided views, their religious beliefs...however, I get very passionate about the abortion issue.
Not all believe in anything. That is really sad.
As Christians, we are told, commanded even, by God to share His word, BUT, we are also told not to "throw pearls at swine".
I have a hard time with that (just posted a question about it like 1 minute ago)

The supreme deity is what he is but .... and it's a big but , what people make of Him ( for the sake of clarity lets say him , but being pure spirit we do not have the language for a non gender creator ) is what divides people . There are so many variations and interpretations of his attributes that it is no wonder it ends up in an almighty squabble leading to backbiting and violence in his name .
I wonder what He makes of us , then ,as he made us from His imagination He must have had a good idea what to expect !

If people claim to be something then they might as well do what they claim to do. If you claim to be a magician then do some magic tricks every once in a blue moon or rap up your magic trunk and give it a rest with the title. If you claim to be muslim then break out your rug and go pray 5 times a day, if not then don't call yourself a muslim cause you aint practicing what you "preach". If you're a Christian then for heavens sake!!! Be a christian and follow what Jesus said to do!

I have no idea but I completely agree with you, it would just be soooooo lovely but some people feel they have to force their beliefs on other societies/ nations/ people instead of just keeping themselves to themselves and going about their business quietly.
I have to say I really do despair sometimes!
I like the idea that I can believe what I want to believe, you believe what you want to believe and if we don't agree so what lets just beg to differ :o)

What makes a Muslim kill another Muslim as is happening everyday in Iraq?
If the USA and UK forces are so hated why do they not all unite and turn against these forces?
Violence appears to be the suggested way for Muslims to solve all disagreements.

First we don't ALL believe in a higher spirit. I personally think its total ****. Religions have done nothing for themselves or each other in terms of beliefs. They are all corrupt, hypocritical cults following fairy tale books.

I agree I mean, who cares if I don't believe what you believe. If I go to Hell because of my beliefs not matching yours, you wont see me in the afterlife anyway. I mean come on. We have our own lives to worry about. Who cares what others do or believe or practice. I'm more worried about what's happening to Maxine on "Judging Amy", than your religion!!!!!
