Having put to bed my semi autobographical novel which took a year to write, I feel like relaxing and fancy an experience with those boy/girl Thai persons who bring both sides to the party. It will mean digging into my publisher's advance and time out as a practicing RC. Why does my priest refuse to discuss it?

It drives me crazy when every single day, some nutcase feels the need to try and convert me to their religion.

I've got over zelous Christians when I get off the train, Hari Krishna at the airport etc...I think you get my point.

Why does everyone think they are right and everyone else is dammed and going to hell? Half these monkeys have probably never even taken a moment to look at any of the other religions and realized that most religions, although they have differences, believe in the existance of a single God.

If God is infinite, there are probably an infinite number of paths to reach him.

Not to pick on Christians, but one person came to me today and said "No man cometh to the Father but through Jesus". I agree with this, but you have to remember that Jesus was preaching at a specific time in history to specific people.

Look in other books, you'll see all the prophets have said this in one form or another to their flock.

found this in answer to another question, seems historically possible, but I never heard it b4. I know all Bible scripture used to justify the belief. Looking for a referance either justifying the above statement or a teaching of the idea of trinity previous to about the yrear 900. Not into arguing just research. Answers from war mongers will be ignored.

1-Remembrance of god is a remedy for hard hearts

2-There are several types of remembrance. The remembrance of the Names of Allah, Mighty and Glorious is He, the remembrance of His Attributes, and praising Him and thanking Him.

3-The Best kind of remembrance is to recite the Book of Allah, the Glorious and Exalted.*

4-God said; So remember Me-I will remember you...

Seems theres a mistake with this book, apparently millions follow the God in this book, and say its their rule book on how to live their life, but I see all these people who follow that religion eating shrimp, this book its called the Bible in Leviticus 11:9-12 says that shrimp is an abomination to God. But they are eating shrimp. The same Bible says that homosexual sex is an abomination before God in Leviticus 18:22; but these shrimp eaters criticize the gay community.

Are they being hypocritical?

God distroyed Sadom and Galmora for multiple of sexual acts, many gay and unmarried. Adam was told to take a wife? Every prophet to live and those who "FOLLOWED" where not gay. Why? Because, God created man to procreate. NOT science but man to procreate. So how is it that a man can say God created him this way when God is the Same today , tomorrow, and forever? I understand that you can have these feelings, but you need to get over them just like the struggles I have had.

I haven't. In fact i just see that there are a lot of angry people out there, who just bash muslims because they are either ignorant or insecure of their own values. stop hating. muslims are peaceful people, extremists are not. just like christians are peaceful people, but crusaders are not.

What are considered denominations? Is Christianity a denomination, or would a denomination be like Baptist, Methodist, Protestant, etc.? I'm asking because I know there are a lot of non denominational churches where I live...but i'm not sure if it means they don't claim themselves as Christian and believe in God, or if they just don't place themselves in the individual little sectors like the ones I mentioned above. Does anyone know?

why must christians believe in Jesus, not God?
why do christians pray to Jesus instead of God?
if christians believe Jesus is God's son, why worship human, i mean, God has a child, he must be some kind of mammal. or.. er. maybe reptile? (nah. kidding!) right?
To me, God must be some thing that is extraordinary. not just some.. human.

and, what is trinity? do christians have 3 Gods?
God must be God. Not Gods.

just curious. be open minded. no heart feeling ok?
religon is religon. REALITY IS REALITY.

Welcome to the new Yahoo answers gameshow: 'Which conclusion is more rational!?' In this event contestants will choose from 3 possible choices of answers and put which one they think is more rational. Our group of scientists in the lab, who use a mathematical formula which compares evidence to outcome will come up with a positive conclusion that is more rational than the others and the first person to choose that letter wins the 10 points! So here's the question:

The bible clearly states god made the world and humans in a period of 7 days yet it is proven dinosaurs existed millions of years before humans did...Which conclusion is more rational?

A: God's 'day' is not really a day but god's version of a 'day' which is longer than human days.

B:God placed the dinosaur bones in the ground to fool non-believers and messed with scientist's carbon 14 tests.

C:People who wrote the bible didn't know dinosaurs existed because they hadn't been discovered yet.

Good luck...

Why can't people relax? Islam is a religion of peace. End of story.
Just because Islam doesn't fit with your lifestyle, doesn't mean anything. If you don't like it, ignore it. It's that simple.

Ezekiel predicted Babylon would conquer Egypt and was wrong.

Ezekiel predicts that Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon will conquer Egypt utterly destroying it, slaying and scattering it’s people, and that it will stay uninhabited for 40 years.

In 568 BCE Nebuchadrezzar tried to conquer Egypt and Egypt survived with no apparent damage.

Aahmes ruled for another generation over a prosperous Egypt and lived to see Nebuchadrezzar die. No Egyptians were scattered or dispersed.

(Ezek 29:10 NRSV) therefore, I am against you, and against your channels, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from Migdol to Syene, as far as the border of Ethiopia.

(Ezek 29:11 NRSV) No human foot shall pass through it, and no animal foot shall pass through it; it shall be uninhabited forty years.

(Ezek 29:12 NRSV) I will make the land of Egypt a desolation among desolated countries; and her cities shall be a desolation forty years among cities that are laid waste. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries.

(Ezek 30:10 NRSV) Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt, by the hand of King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon.

(Ezek 30:11 NRSV) He and his people with him, the most terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the
land with the slain.

With his supposed powers, why did he cure just a few blind people and just bring a few people back to life. Why did he waste his powers sending evil spirits into pigs and cursing fig trees. Why didn't he end world hunger or make sure that no kids were ever born with severe defects. This would have solved two problems, one, the actual miracle and two, there would be no atheists.

What is yours? I truly beleive i have "the gift" i know i have. BUT! some people mock, call it insanity, whatever, i know it is real, i know what i "see" i know, when i have a dream, of a close ones death for example, and they die ( and no, not old, or ill, unexpected shock death) but i know, and have cried, before the news is given to me. I am given info, through thought, i have sensed good spirit, have SEEN bad spirit, and yeh, it scared me, shadow people, was my worst experience of that. I did not ask for this, i do not particulaly want it, but it is there, so i deal with it. Your opinion, gift, curse, or insanity, i`m interested in the public opinion, because i have been advised to take this further, become a medium, but i am unsure of public opinion on this. What do you think of psychic phenonemon?
