I think you are lacking context.
In Levitical law, the dietary rules are not the same as moral law and was not intended to be so. Shellfish, like pork, was forbidden back then for two reasons. 1) it was unhealthy, especially when you consider we are talking about a time before refrigeration. 2) it was to differentiate the Jews from the people around them. However, the Jews made this a rule onto itself and gave it the same force of law that the 10 Commandments have. This was wrong.
When it comes to homosexuality, the act is considered sinful. That moral law has not passed away over time and God does consider it an abomination. It would still be an abomination if the Jews were still refraining from shellfish, so even if people were hypocritical, they would still be right in criticizing homosexuality.

Context, context, context. Leviticus was written to a certain people during a certain time. Yet homosexual sex is also an abomination in the New Testament. Read closely. You can't pick and choose what you want. God gives you just enough rope to hang yourself. For light has entered the world and man loves darkness instead of light because his deeds are evil. You remain in darkness because of your sins otherwise you would know the truth and the truth would set you free.

No, they are not being hypocritical. Leviticus is in the old testament and we are no longer bound by the old laws in the old testament. The only reason the ten commandments, which are also in the old testament. are followed anyways is they are simply good rules to live by as a society. Why do you think he destroyed Sodom and Gomorah? Do you not know what the word "Sodomy" means?

I think if the Bible and the homosexuals stay out of "Leviticus", they will be alright.
Then, no one would be a hypocrite, or have reason to criticize!

The Bible is a book of fables, it's NOT to be taken literally. Those who do are hypocrites.
