It's from the movie THE DARK CRYSTAL...

i believe it's the prophecy that says that only a gelfling can heal the dark crystal with the broken shard.... and then the two races of the mystics and the skeksis will become the single race they once were before the dark crystal was shattered....

The basis of the movie, Dark Crystal.

Wow Guy, that little show came out about 25 yrs ago, or so.

I liked it. Jeannie thought it was stupid. Well, she's right, but I still liked it.

Was it fair only the girl Gelflings had wings?

Sounds like either Willie the Shake or the dude who wrote Dune, or maybe Chaucer? Or that idiot Nostradamus who is so big with Art Bell? I believe in covering all bases. Or Tolkien? Is that "gelfing" hand or "elfling" hand? . If it is none of these I will have a fit!

It sounds less like a prophecy and almost like something read at a handfasting I attended a few months ago. I know that's not quite right, but it does sound agonizingly familiar...

Sounds like another bit of vague nonsense that you could make to mean anything.
