has anyone ever really lived in a real life haunted house? I think i did when i was little, but never thought about it until now. Our t.v. turned and off all of the time or it would scan through channels. Once we even had a candle light itself. My mother never talked about it, and now i was wondering if this was a haunting or just a coincedence

What would be a good prayer to end a confirmation class if the topic is our uniqueness, and/or how we hunger for God, can feel lost, alone, confused, etc. or that Jesus is our rock.

I read the history and find that when the church took full control , chrsitianity didn't offer the world but destruction, hatred, poverty, retardation, and ignorance. scintists were killed onlt for saying the earth goes aroun sun .. crusases killed 70.000 human in jeursalem from all religions .. 40% of Europians were killed in wars among eastern and wesern churchs.

Christian started to be human being only after they through christianity behind their backs

Islam on the other hand offred the word one of the greatest cevelization in history .. "islamic cevilization" islam established a state of justice, scince and prosperity

Seems to me that once you've said "okay god, I believe and I'll say whatever prayers you like and I'll tithe and give to the poor and be the kind of person your son was," that should be enough.

So why wouldn't god simply smile and say, "fine, thanks kid, now go enjoy your life, I'll be seeing you in threescore years and ten" ? Why would he add, "if you don't believe you won't be seeing me at all" ?

Does this really make sense to believers?

never going to church, making fun of Christianity and all other religions non-stop, making fun of all gods all the time, believing in scientific reason, believing in rational thinking, not believing in a book that hasn't been supported by evidence one bit, not believing in a book full of fairy tales, and for caring about "immoral" things more than anything else?

Tell me, if this Hell x-ians keep telling me about is full of people like me, how can it be bad? Seems like it would be really, really fun.

I think I used to believe, but a long period of reflection has taken me further and further from faith. Faith now seems to me irrational. But church can still offer a good moral grounding to my children, provides a welcoming community and not least something regenerative to do on a Sunday.

but someone who leads a bad life, but takes a "mulligan" right before they kick the bucket gets to go to heaven?

that sounds like a pretty silly system to me

think I should care one bit when they tell me I'm going to this Hell of theirs? Then, when I tell them I don't care, they get all mean/intolerant and tell me to have fun burning and suffering in Hell for all eternity. Why can't they be nice like Atheists?

The papers are reporting the "christening" of a warship - the U.S.S. George H.W. Bush. Do any Christians take offense to the idea of "christening" an inanimate object whose sole purpose is to take party in violent, military action? I'm not a Christian, but I believe that Jesus was a pacifist and always preached about turning the other cheek and loving your enemy - not blowing them into oblivion. I am not a pacifist - and I have no problem with a new warship having some sort of official naming ceremony - but to call that naming ceremony a "christening" just appears strange & slightly offensive to me. I mean, a warship doesn't have a soul, it doesn't have faith, and it won't be resurrected at the end of time. Additionally, the name of the ship being "Christened" isn't a saint or a man of a noble life - but of an ex-president. Do you have a problem with the term "Christening" being, in a sense, politicized. Your thoughts are appreciated.

A: Absolutely nothing!!!!

Is this funny?

Why God never got a PhD:
1. He had only one major publication.
2. It was written in Aramaic, not in English.
3. It has no references.
4. It wasn't even published in a refereed journal.
5. There are serious doubts he wrote it himself.
6. It may be true that he created the world, but what has he done since then?
7. His cooperative efforts have been quite limited.
8. The Scientific community has had a hard time replicating his results.
9. He unlawfully performed not only Animal, but *Human* testing.
10. When one experiment went awry, he tried to cover it by drowning his subjects.
11. When subjects didn't behave as predicted, he deleted them from the sample.
12. He rarely came to class, just told his students to read the book.
13. Some say he had his son to teach the class.
14. He expelled his first two students for learning.
15. Although there were only 10 requirements, most of his students failed his tests.

Isn't it fun to make fun of x-ianity?

If you had all the powers of God
i.e.
1)" you would be the absolute controller of a situation at all points of time".
2) Possesed all the powers of the Universe and knew all laws of Science and that of the Universe.
3)Had the ability of creating, preserving and destroying anything.

What would you do?How would you shape this Universe?
What would be your ideal environment of existence?
