What would be a good prayer to end a confirmation class if the topic is our uniqueness, and/or how we hunger for God, can feel lost, alone, confused, etc. or that Jesus is our rock.

How about Psalm 25?

I wait for you, O LORD;
I lift up my soul to my God.
In you I trust;
do not let me be disgraced;
do not let my enemies gloat over me.
No one is disgraced who waits for you,
but only those who lightly break faith.
Make known to me your ways, LORD;
teach me your paths.

With love in Christ.

personally I would somehow use the Agony in the Garden or even Christ't final moment during HIs passion and how even HE felt lost and prayed things could be different but how he always obeyed the Will of God. you're in a challenging spot - 7th graders and all. i really think showing them how to connect and letting them know that even JEsus had feelings of confusion (not the best word). Even about when Jesus went to the temple and threw out the vendors - how even He could be empassioned.

one other thing, a little off the topic.... on www.beilefnet.com they used to have the slang sayings - like when we say "shake it off" or holy cow or other terms that are not normally viewed as Scripture and how and where they came from in the Scruptires - it was quite neat and I remember a priest when i was in 7th or 8th grade telling us some of those sayings - they stuck with me and when i hear them i'm reminded of various scripture verses.

Confirmation is when someone becomes a full member into the Catholic Church. Here is a prayer to say when they become a member of the Catholic Church.

Creator Spirit, strengthen this child with your gifts of grace, to love and serve as a disciple of Christ. Grant that s/he may grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Fill her/him with the joy of your presence. Increase in her/him the fruit of your Spirit: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of love, patience and gentleness, the spirit of wonder and true holiness.

Amen.

Have someone who's taking the confirmation name of David read this:

Psalms 23:1 A psalm for David. The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing.
Psa 23:2 He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:
Psa 23:3 He hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.
Psa 23:4 For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.
Psa 23:5 Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebreateth me, how goodly is it!
Psa 23:6 And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.
