I am a Christian and a serious student of the Bible. I beleive in all the major doctrines of Christianity including the need for regenration, salvation, the promise of heaven and the threat of hell. That the damned are sent to hell after the last judgment is no issue to me. The issue is : will the damned suffer for eternity? There are Scriptural passages that can be made to support such a notion; but only if taken literally. So, if I beleive that the damned will be sent to hell and there be destroyed (as cease to exist), will you think that I am a heretic?

He was there, when the Serupent talked to Eve,
He was there, when he told her all that stuff, of her becomeing god.
Adom, was right there, old head of house hold. Why did he do nothing?

Think about it. If we were ALL saved regardless, then we would not be scared of going to Hell. Hell makes money for Christianity, especially in the US, where 'faith healers' and 'televangelists' sell us their CD's on how to avoid Hell.

If we all believe that we are sinners, then we will do anything to stay clear of Hell, and by donating or 'tithing' our wages to the Church - we buy a ticket to Heaven. Agreed?

I keep hearing about the possibility of microchips being implanted into humans. I don't agree with it but I'm just curious how many people do and why would you agree with it?

First of all thank you all for answering my last question. Even though I'm a believer Im not a basher of those who dont beleive (I married one) My hubby and I have decided that the children dont need there first communion. I dont realy believe that I need to speak to a priest about my sins and of course neither does my hubby. Well my father is a deacon and he has really been getting on my back about this one..What is the best way to explain to him that my kids can just pray to speak to god instead of going to confesion. And that first comunions really arent that important to my husband and I just as long as they have knowlege of our faith(my faith). What is the least harshest way to break this to my father? Please dont be biased in your comments.

Now the question is this... Who is more intolerant, the family who placed a pro-marriage sign in their yard, or the people who have barraged them with threats and vandalism, and the bonfire in the front yard?

It really bothers me to see so much ripping apart of others beliefs. If you are a christian we need to start acting like one. Don't declare being a christian then rip someone else apart, that certainly is not an imitator of Christ's Love. Let God be the judge if someone is going to hell. That's not our job !!!!!!!!

God has a huge, fragile Ego. God wants us to join his fan club. He runs his own popularity contest. Do you agree?

Why is it that whenever the word 'homosexual' is brought up as a sin, that *some* people say that Christians *hate* gays, *even* when that opinion isn't the case? Why do they automaticly associate the verbs 'hate', with 'sin'?

Unfortunately another young person's rights were violated when a school official told her she could not read her Bible on her lunch break... Anyone see the overkill here?

This quesiton is for creationists who want the theory taught as an alternative to evolution. I'm asking it again because I have yet to receive an actual answer from a creationist.

If schools were to teach creationism as an alternative theory to evolution, what exactly would they say? What evidence would be taught to show that it is a viable theory like evolution? This isn't meant to be a jab at the creationists, I really just don't know.

im talking about when for example in the middle ages, the pope did a crusade in the name of god, and in the spanish inquisition where the burning of innocent women occured all because "it was gods will". also when u ask about god, u get a human answering for him, like "no i dont think he would like that" or "god is happy with you, and u will go to heaven". why cant man understand that God is beyond their powers to answer for him? and that god does not have human attributes...as everyone nowadays associates him with. is it right to answer for God?
