You mean like Jumbo Shrimp or Military Intelligence? That's funny! No, the phrase "serious student" means that they don't take the subject they are studying lightly and as it applies to God's Word to mankind that is able to make one wise unto salvation that's the only type of attitude someone who is studying the Bible should have.

It's only natural for people who don't know God to read stories about a talking snake or Jesus walking on the water to compare such stories to children's fairy tales but not too long ago people like H G Wells used to write science fantasy stories about men building a rocket ship and flying to the moon. How much more should we be willing to consider that the infinite and almighty God who created this universe and who calls each star by name could bring to pass miraculous and fantastic occurrences that in comparison to the actual creation event are mere child's play.

No it is not. All that "serious student" states is that the person is studying the subject mentioned in a academic fashion as opposed to someone who reviews it for pop culture or religious reasons... For instance if someone studies the bible for a movie about a biblical figure then they are not a "serious student" of the bible. It is a term usually used for students or professors of philosophy, theology, or history, etc...

Technically, it quite is in basic terms a zygote interior the very early levels of progression; then it turns right into a fetus. In political discussions, "unborn toddler" could be seen emotionally rates and for this reason unacceptable for politically suited discourse, because of the fact the implication is that the fetus is a toddler with each and every of the linked rights. besides the indisputable fact that, in typical discourse, "unborn toddler" is actual sparkling and a real looking term to apply.

I have three sets of encyclopedias on the Bible.

Each are huge (thousands of pages).

There are *very* serious students of the Bible. They may not be represented here very well, but if you are truly interested they are not hard to find.
