On the road that we all must travel through life, The Great Spirit does his best to guide us towards happieness and enlightenment. Sometimes we stray from the path and tend to feel lost for a time. Some poor souls are lost forever. But sometimes Great Spirit has us to cross paths with one of those who can help us to find our way again, to aid us in our search for truth, love, the path we strayed from. Sometimes, this person will walk with us for awile to
give us strength and encouragement, or to counsel or guide us on our way.
There have been many people, through out our time, who have done this service for others. In the old days they were called; Prophets, Priests, Wise Men, Shamen, Chiefs, Leaders of Men,
even Savior.
But what of now, what of our time ? Are there still those of us willing to take on this challenge, this service to humanity ? Of course there are ! They could be as close as the person next door. Could you recognize one of these gifted people if you met one? Are you even open to the possibility of their existence?
They are as we are. By that I mean that they go through life as we all do, contending with the trials and tribulations of the day, striving to get by the best way they can. But the difference is that to them, sometimes there is something more important to deal with. They will extend themselves, sometimes to the point of great risk to themselves to lend a hand to another. Offten without so much as a "thank you" they are often willing to risk their very lifes to give
aid to another.
"Tis no nobeler a deed than to give ones life in the service of humanity."
We all have our own path to follow when it comes to living our own perspective lifes. But for those who tend to think of the larger picture, extending a hand to help another in need requires no greater effort than it takes to say a prayer.
"Sometimes I feel like a tear drop in the middle of an ocean of humanity."
"What difference can I make to the suffering of so many?"
We have all felt that way. It is then that my spirit guide shows me of the times I've made a positive effect in someones life. Sometimes a smile was all the effort it took and all that was
returned. But then there were times when a life or perhaps a soul was saved, and the tribute in this was in the knowledge of the deed done. No more was asked for or expected.
In your dayly activities, how hard could it be to extend youself to another? Perhaps a smile or a kind word. Threr used to be a saying floating around awile back,"What would Jesus do?". I
think we all feel we know what he might do, but stop and think sometimes of what you could do in his name. Faith can move mountians. But what can it do for the child who has no food,
or the family who has no home for lack of work? Faith can surely feed the soul, but sometimes it takes a little more effort from one who is willing to give to remedy such matters.
We are all brothers and sisters. Our family consists of the whole of humanity and transcends all that devides us. There are no borders. Like it or not, we are all one. And as the fallen sparrow deep in the woods effects all, so does our actions toward our fellow man.
So, as you walk your path and happen across one who has fallen by the wayside, what will you do? Will you walk on, or will you give them your hand and lift them up with love and compassion?
May The Great Spirit bless you with much joy and happiness, and may your lifes be long and fruitfull. May The Creator always guide you on your path.
Aho'

Kicking people while they are down is what the human race does best. History is full of fabulous stories about people being kicked while they were down. Jesus frowns on this sort of behavior by the way.
I'm struggling to be a Christian, but I do find myself delivering a complimentary kick to the side of the head some people in this Yahoo Answer who deserve it.
Oh well! I guess Satan still has a grip on me...

you are right about judging others to hell, only God has that job. It is ok to refute those who conterdict the word as we are called to do by the apostle Paul and only rare occasions call for any rebuke. I need to always remind myself that God is the one who will open people's eyes to see anyways.

You can love them as a person but, you don't have to like them as a personality.
This contention has been prophesied many years ago.. we are just having the opportunity to see prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Oh I try to help other people up if that's what they ask for.
but if they start picking apart someones beliefs to make themselves feel or look better I do keep a sharp pin handy for deflating over stretched egos.

because it's easier and more fun! By the way, preaching won't get you anywhere. How boring and unexciting life would be without judgemental people. Who are we to judge, we're people damnit and thats what we do, we give ourselves the right to judge. Get over with it and come over to the dark side.
