I keep hearing about the possibility of microchips being implanted into humans. I don't agree with it but I'm just curious how many people do and why would you agree with it?

I've also heard the "Big Brother" is going to be pretty much everywhere soon. Also, there are supposedly guillotines that are being imported from China and hidden at closed military installations. ???

Not surprised. The bible says there is coming a time when no one will be able to buy or sell without a mark in their forehead or hand. It's the mark of the beast.

I don't know if you are born again (I pray to God you do know Jesus Christ)....but in all friendship, if you do not believe in Jesus...whatever happens, do not take this mark.

with the technology that currently exists, it would be possible to have a inert, non-interactive chip put in say, your hand, then a device similar to a credit card reader, could be used to prove identity (buying alcohol or similar) pay for things on credit, ect.. all with a swipe of the hand, with no realistic risk of theft... sounds pretty good IMO.

edit:>>"Gold is the only metal that will not be rejected from the body. "<< ... yeah, I guess all those stainless steel and titanium implanted rods and screws and plates used in various surgerys dont count...

or the inert plastic capule they could put the RFID chip in...

edit: and personally I do not belive that actual useful cybernetic enhancement is likely to happen within the near future... I mean they can hardly do ANYTHING at the moment with anything of that stuff, and they simply don't really understand the brain and system well enough to usefully do that for quite some time yet.

I think it is already being done to hold identification and credit info. I don't see any big problem with it. I figure Americans are pretty well under the watchful eye of Big Brother all the time anyway.

the mark of the beast is more like christian paranoia.

yes but its not used on the forehead so there you go. possible places to put in on are the hands or elbows for easy scanning..

no one would put something that would look like a bump on their forehead. and it's not easy to scan that way. and it's not safe on the forehead. imagine if you bump on your door, you'll have broken pieces of glass or plastic?

and what's with this gold stuff? titanium is acceptable to the body, im im correct, stainless steel and silver too.

It will be a reality in this century. At first, there will just be chips to enhance your memory. Then they will enhance other things. Eventually, they could enhance your entire brain.

I'm all for it. Have you ever seen The Matrix? Wouldn't it be cool if you could just download something to your brain to learn something?
