Why or Why not?

Surah 61:9-He it ia who has sent his messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam) To make it victorious over all other religions even though the Mushrikun (non-beleivers) hate it.

Burst out your handy dandy Korans and hooked on phonics tapes and let's read along boys and girls. It's in black and white.

What do you Muslims have to Jedi mind bend the meaning of this surah?

Some things are literal and a four legged mammal that says "meow" is a feline, not a canine.

How can you celebrate Christmas if you aren't sure it exists?

(no offense to my agnostic friends)

Ok non-Christians. You got us. Christ wasn't born on Christmas.

Before you celebrate that little victory, did you know that it's not that big of a deal? The actual date of Christ's birth is not known so why not make it on a day people are already comfortable celebrating on? Besides, so many people on here keep claiming Christ is just a fairy tale, so why would you accuse us of getting a date wrong for a birth that never took place? Did you also know that the only evidence we have Christ wasn't born on Dec. 25th is in the Bible? So are you non-Christians actually using the Bible to support your claims?

Someone in a previous questions said we are taking back Christmas for the pagans.... then it wouldn't be CHRIST-mas would it?

People get angry at God when their lives don't turn out the way they would like or when something horrible happens in their lives. Where does the misconception that God ever promised us a fair, good, happy life come from? In all three Abrahamic religions (the big three) Christianity, Judaism, and Islam we're given the story of Adam and Eve right up front. One of the main themes/lessons of this story is that we had the choice to live in harmony with God, under His protection and with fairness. We chose not to do this. We chose to be in charge of our own life, and we're living the result out every day. God never promised that we'd have a fair, happy, long or incident free life. He never promised that bad things wouldn't happen to us. He actually stated quite the opposite about living contrary to what He had in mind. So, why is He the first to blame? Why do so many get angry at Him.

Christians, athiests, pagans, agnostics, and all those who celebrate Chrismas do so for different reasons.
For Christians, it's a celebration of the birth of Christ. For others it's a celebration of family and still others it's the joy of giving and receiving. For others it is a celebration of their god(s)
Is it worth the arguement?

Since they are questioning everyone else's right to meet up with their family and mark the start of winter, I wonder if any of them would like to justify why Christians observe the Pagan festival of Saturnalia at the winter solstice (when the day and night are of equal length)? It's not a Christian holiday at all, the early Christians just appropriated it to get new believers to mark Christ's birth, even though Christ is reckoned to have been born in October 4BC. No doubt they all know this.

They say since Jesus says "no one has ever seen God..." that means since Jesus was seen, he could not be God. Yet, Jesus also says "He who has seen me HAS seen the Father!" Therefore by their own argument the Father is not God either! Note: they need to also read the rest of John 1:18 too. It actualy says Jesus is God.

For instance, when I as a christian take a stand or make a statement or have an opinion, I am considered a condemning christian. But, let someone who doesn't live for God like I do make a statement or have an opinion and they are just speaking their peace? I don't get it....
