Is it called new age because of "new" ideas of peoples thoughts who are not following scripture from the Bible? Are these people who form these groups actually cults? I belong to a loving, encouraging, and uplifting church. Can you tell me some of the names of these groups or peoples names so I can tell others that I care about to avoid. I suppose I am naive in this area because I've been blessed to belong to a church where I can hear the word of God and grow and learn in my faith. Thank you and God Bless to those who have been touched by the Holy spirit and for all of the unbelievers that we pray for who won't be mislead and know the truth which is God's Holy word. I thank you in advance for those who take this question with great care and concern like mine.

That anyone has ever done for you??

For me, it happened over 20 years ago. I was a teen runaway, living in the streets, and I had no shoes. I hadn't eaten in days because I couldn't enter a store or restaurant barefoot.

A total stranger took the shoes off her feet and gave them to me. They were a perfect fit, and I wore them until they fell apart.

I've kept them all these years as a reminder of her kindness.

Judy A., if you are reading this, I thank you for the shoes. You'll never know what your gesture meant to me.

Do you give a knee-jerk reaction and give them a thumbs-down? Or do you contemplate the point being made and then make your desicion based on your rational thought?

I personally think this is a terrible thing that would happen. I would want to stay in eternal happiness, not go back to the Earth, and face Life's Hardships all over again. God promised us eternal happiness in Heaven.

What was with that booby-trap in the centre of the garden of Eden? Adam and Eve were kids right,,,,if you go ahead and tell kids not to do something, you better give them a decent reason and keep them away from bad influences like talking snakes and such.

Everyone is Free-Willing away and God decides, 'Hell with this, I'm gonna Nuke 'em???

Once again just a Free-Willing away and God thinks, 'Well that nuking thing was a bust! This time I'll drown the buggers!

And, yea, of course, putting it like that doesn't sound so sacred...so what...it's the Gospel Truth isn't it?

Why is a book written by man regarded as the word of God? Jesus did not dictate, and neither did God, so why do people look to a book when we can look to nature the creation of a deity for our answers.

When I ask a probing question and get plenty of thumbs down, I feel good like at least I got some people's attention or hit some sore spots.

Today, I was working at an entry control point and some lady came up with a baby in one arm, and a carseat in the other.

She looked like it was hard work and finally she dropped the car seat when she came up to me to get her credentials checked and Yelled "Jesus!"

Well, I looked around in every direction and curiously inquired "Where!"

She looked confused and I whispered, "we better look busy then shouldn't we"?
She walked away kinda confused? I thought she sighted jesus, how do i understand this phenomena?

All of a sudden, they realize things the way atheists realize them, and are still expected to show up Sunday. How would these people feel? I think we need to create a chain of support groups, so they aren't so afraid of changing...maybe?

...that there is no God, no heaven and no hell, would you live you life different? Would you abandon all morals? Do you think most religious believers would do this? Is religion, the fear of God and the hope of spiritual reward the only thing that keeps you in check?
