Terrorism is not an enemy but a method. A war on terror is like a war on artillery.

The terror and the so-called war on it will end when the republicans loose control.
Theirs, is a fear based thought system and the killing will go on as long as the fear based people are in power. They need an enemy to prove that the world is the dangerous place they see it as.
That's why they can never catch Osama. If they did there best tool for instilling fear would be gone.

No.
You can't kill every terrorist in the world so the war can't end.
There are about 150,000 new converts to Islam each year in the USA alone, this is a lot of people who could be terrorists (i am not saying they are just giving a number) France has 6 million muslims and the number is growing.
So a war on terrorism cannot be won in its current form. A peace with muslims i think is the only solution im afraid.

HI Kong
The United States is fast approaching a state of depression..... It will probably arrive as a recession by March 2007. The U.S. will stop their pursuit on the so called war shortly thereafter..... You can't play with the big boy's if you have no money.... The federal goverment is in debt to the amount of $8.5 trillion and is growing about $5 million a minute. The citizens owe $40 trillion plus and growing.... I don't know nor care how much the 50 states and local goverments owe....The nation and it's people are broke. Most of the newly created jobs are service related.....No one can live on that pay.
Have a good day......

If you are asking about the present day battles, that's very hard to predict. But, the war between good and evil, (and terrorism is evil), won't end until Jesus returns to earth to establish His Kingdom of truth, goodness and righteousness.

When George Bush, Dick Cheney, D. Rumsfeld, et al are removed from office and hopefuly indicted for "war crimes."
Despite Congressional attempts to make their war crimes ("torture") "legal," ex post facto laws are invalid and do not cover their prior acts.
